    *I have a saying “messy house means a messy mind”*
    Last year I was was staying in a broken down house with 6 strange (and much older) men I didn’t know, in a room filled with 4 + recent tenants crap everywhere, at the end we were all kicked out during the pandemic meaning I was going to be homeless and I went through a really sad breakup, lost my job and found out I had to rehome my rescue cats that I’ve had for 5 years (this all happened in one week and during covid btw), in my last month in that crap hole I got so depressed I stopped caring for myself and my big room ended up like a bomb went off, I had no care anymore I was just waiting to die, the men that lived there made me so uncomfortable and miserable I’d rather leave my rubbish piled up in my room rather than leave my room. I watch these with a new perspective now. I know how they feel, maybe not this intensely but similar.
    If you’re curious I now have a lovely home and a beautiful bedroom and my two rescue kitties are with me and I didn’t end up losing them because I worked my ass off to make sure I had my fur babies with me and life is getting better!

      I went through a couple years of living by myself, hardly making ends meet, and struggling with rent just to make sure my 3 cats had a roof over their head, clean litter box, and food to eat every day. That was about 6 years ago. I have such a big heart for them. I couldn’t give them up, they are my babies and my support system ❤️ Without them I could have moved in with some friends and saved myself a lot of money & trouble. I’m so glad I stuck to guns and kept them with me. You can’t put a price on love like that!!

I have seen some USELESS people who are meant to check on people with mental problems. I had beer in the fridge of a bipolar guy I knew. He had an inspection by this BRAINLESS young government tart. She opened the fridge and saw the beer. There was NO FOOD in the house. Nothing else in the fridge, nothing in the cupboards ONLY 1 JAR of coffee. The stupid bitches report read "Everything fine except he drinks too much beer". There wasn't ONE open bottle around or even in his bin. plus, elderly people have to live on less money than 10 or 20 years ago when pensions were a bit higher. She probably couldn't afford stuff and had to make do with the things she's owned for decades, even if they're broken. There's a lot more old people searching through trash cans and collecting recycles to earn a little bit of money nowadays. It's very sad people worked all their life, paid taxes and raised children just to end up like this and speaks about where societies even in so called 'rich' countries are headed to :(

      I think it’s a lot easier to clean someone else’s stuff because there’s no sentimental value to anything for you. I hold sentimental value for the dumbest things that other people would definitely throw away if they had to clean my room for whatever reason. Not to mention things that you’re trying to avoid. In this case, it was the bedroom for the lady. In my case, it’s the corner of my room and under my bed because that’s where my cat spent a lot of time before she passed away. Those areas being touched bothers me so much bc i don’t want them getting dirty, and they weren’t even her favorite spots until she got sick. I just hold sentimental value to those areas because that’s where she always felt safe

      I think the walls need to be professionally treated and re done and as they are just deep cleaners it’s not really their area ? Although for the sake of the program I think production should have organised to get that sorted out.

    This lady probably got up every morning to take care of her family and felt that she had a place and a purpose in Society for doing so..
    So before anyone can say that this is so disgusting let's just suppose losing your husband or your w1ife, you can become incredibly disconnected and isolated with what's going on around you, so pleases don't ignore those who don't make a sound and let's all do something to help others without the need to be rewarded.
    Thank you ladies for all that you've done and thank you for treating this lady with respect . God BLESS

Does Everything have to be done twice a day? If it is Cleaned, is Still Clean, you don't Need to do it again that day. That's Obsessive, the Opposite to that Poor Lady!

    I realize that people have a right to privacy etc. But really is there not a law in place to protect people and property. No way should this property have gotten to this state. Even if you own it. Especially if its attached to another property. Such as a flat. So even if you take this as a financial thing rather then a humanity position how is this a thing.

    • @JennRighter

      It's problematic because this level of neglect doesn't happen without mental illness. When you consider a person, who, while mentally ill, is CAPABLE of taking minimal care of their property, but for whatever reason they don't, it's quite a conundrum. How is a person exhibiting this behavior to be addressed legally? It's not a path even family usually want to cross, let alone the law.

    • @Areyousayingidontknowmyname
      @Areyousayingidontknowmyname 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JennRighter I certainly would not begin to imagine this is a easy fix. But when society has no way of dealing with the condition that these properties get into then we have a problem. Especially when i know that in some cases the councils and local governments can in-force court orders to have places cleaned up. Maybe in the most extreme a kind of soft jail time might be in order... Might be the opportunity to get the people that need the most help the help they so need.

    • @analisetriggs2567
      @analisetriggs2567 4 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      @@Areyousayingidontknowmyname 'soft' jail time? This 62 year old lady is clearly experiencing grief which didn't end, perpetuated by I'm assuming lack of money because of her husband passing away. Maybe if the government provided more welfare, this poor lady would be able to pay to have the toilet fixed and counselling for her depression and grief, and because of her age, possible alzheimers or other things inhibiting her ability to maintain her house. It's sad to see people care more about a bit of plaster and wood than actual human beings. I am certain she would have been in a great deal of emotional pain. Having compassion is more sustainable for people, as well as the economy and properties, than punitive punishments.

    • @Areyousayingidontknowmyname
      @Areyousayingidontknowmyname 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@analisetriggs2567 you don't think the government provides these things. It's the UK not America. Depressed people rarely seek help. If you have to use alternative means to get that help to them then do it. You heard the woman all she wants is to crawl into her hovel. That is not a help seeking mind. What help happened in this episode was probably court ordered.

      Absolutely! I’m really anxious that she’s just going to let things degrade again. It’s easy to keep things up at first, but as soon as u accumulate a little bit of stuff, somewhere, depressed people will lose all the motivation they had, and things will go right in the same direction. Not that it’s their responsibility, but I would love to know that the 2 women checked in on the old woman at some point, to see how she was holding up
