With so many unforgettable performances to choose from, it's too tough to pick a favorite Paul Newman movie. Is it Cool Hand Luke? The Hustler? The Verdict? Or another of the many classics? Let me know your opinion by responding to this comment! One of my very favorite actors. Thank you so, so much for sharing his story! I love his activism and his generosity. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid and the Sting (which I didn’t hear mentioned. An Academy award winning movie) are among my all time favorite movies. And now I’m gonna go watch WUSA. Thanks again.❤
Had Newman been born later on in the 20th century, I wonder how he would navigate current ideologies. Regardless, he will always melt my heart and I thank him for his body of work. Maybe his handsome countenance as well.
Newman's movies are a bit too dry for my taste, generally speaking, but l did enjoy "What a Way to Go." I loved it in the theatre and eventually bought it on DVD, It is varied and fun, and stars several actors l like.
I believe this 100%. There was a story about Paul and Tom going out on a Lake, presumably on Newman's property. No one could ever know exactly what was discussed. IMO it could only have been about both being Bisexual and the hazards it could pose for the younger star. Paul certainly played his roles off camera and on very well. But, in fairness it's societies fault these two me allegedly, and thousands more have to live lies to varying degrees in order just to live and have careers. Hypocrisy.
When Gandi, won for best picture. I heard that Mr. Newman, had a T-shirt, made, with Mr. Newman straggling Gandi. I don't know who said this. I don't know of a picture showing this. So it could be a joke.

My dad was roommates with Paul Newman at Kenyon college. Your research is very complete and I love your channel.
That's very cool, I hope your dad had some stories to tell!
He never went into details but did say that women loved Paul and my dad benefited by being in his orbit!

Never thought he was a great actor, more like a poseur, until Road to Perdition in which he was great.
