Very nice video, it was in my suggested feed from the TH-cam AI, I liked it a lot and I have subscribed! Very well presented, I agree about everything you said, and I have the same favourites, ha ha! HW1080 is my all time favourite, both for crawlers and buggies, but recently I started buying ESC70 and I have been very happy with them. You asked about that Rain ESC, I had one and it died first time I ran it, it was a 15 turn motor and a Tamiya DT-01 buggy that killed it, and to be fair, that combo also killed a HW1060, ha ha!
I've just killed my Tamiya hobbywing 1060 in my Tamiya mf01x chassis. I fitted a 23t pinion, TL01 high speed gear set and I stiffened up the rear diff with silicone ear plugs. So yeah....I think that was all too much for it. 🤬🤣 I'm now trying to find an esc that'll be able to cope with these mods.
Brilliant testing and great to know the results. Maybe next try the same tests on a faster brushed motor - say 23/25 turn or better and brushless motor where possible.
So helpful my question is better repair compactors or get another oh its brushed i bought online from Walmart for like 12.00 or something and brand is Bdesc-s10e- rtr 2-3 lipo -5-9 nimh bec 5-v 2a xijaia0206 bought in September last yr what happened was i used two nimh 1500mah it went very fast but then it stop working lol i knw too much power oh my car is a fast and furious doms 1/12 charger it has dual 380 motors ftont and rear so whats best advice u can give me to be able to tun this vehicle thank u sincerely mike from Redford Michigan
Please forgive me if my questions sounds stupid or ill-informed but I am new to all of this and have much to learn. I am building a crawler with a real time camera mounted on it to use for crawl space inspections. The intended purpose for this vehicle calls for low speeds, forward and reverse. I am understanding that I need two ESCs to drive the two separate motors on my tank chassis. I actually have two pair of ESCs. I have two Hobbywing 1625s and two New Rain 160As. First question: Which of these would suit my purpose best? Second question: I've been told that I must switch the master controller on first and then switch on the slave unit. I have a master switch on my battery pack. Would they work just as well if I bypassed the on/off switch for each and let them power up together when I switched the battery pack on? And the last question: If my receiver is powered from another source, should I remove the red power wire from BOTH of the ESCs? Oh. The receiver that I plan to use is the Flysky FGr12B, if that makes any difference. Thank much!
I'll try to help : either pair of ESCs will work fine because of the extreme gearing on a tracked vehicle. If you have a separate receiver battery, you should remove both red wires because both ESC's will deliver receiver power through their BEC. For the next bit I'm not a 100% sure but the 'master-slave' thing you mention specifically applies to brushless ESCs - I think.
Hey mate, I've been running a rain 480 in a WL TOYS A979 for a few years, it's the only ESC I've put in that car that hasn't fried itself and still going strong!
Tamiya battery connectors are terrible and wear out and become lose. This will cause a major loss in power and create variables in the amount of current available between each connectors lose/tightness. Tamiya connectors can damage the esc, stop using the Tamiya connectors and start soldering quality connectors.
Hi there, this is just what i was looking for. Im on the hunt for some nice cheap 60A esc´s and this test was very helpful. Thanks a lot.
Great Video. I've been running a New Rain 320A w/fan for quite awhile now in a 1/10 cheap basher on 2s, still running. 👍
Thank was a very informative comparison. Thank you
Thanks a lot, very informative
Thanks for the information.
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching.

Good idea. Thanks.
Which one will run an 8 turn motor ?
I tried 2 tble 04s esc’s and both lost reverse on their first runs and wouldn’t revert back to brushless after being used with brushed motors .
Great video
Would’ve been cool if you tested the tble-02s like shown in the thumbnail 😮
You are right. I don't know why I didn't. I know it's very similar to the TBLE-04S.
very nice
Thanks
Hi what 1 do you think can handle 3s 13t brushed motor on gorgon
Outstanding video. Do you have any idea how the Traxxas XL5 would compare to the ESCs in this video?
Almost forgot I put a capacitor on it. And I’m running a 13t hacmoto brushed.

I'm not familiar with the car or ESC you mentioned. I don't want to give you any inaccurate advice. Best to contact the manufacturer.
Did you ever do the test with the euro truck?

Unfortunately I do not have any experience in tank electronics or dual ESC setups.
@@RCsRCCars Thanks just the same.

What motor and you using 3s
I would add the Carisma ARC-2 ESC. I use them in my brushed crawlers and I prefer them to the 1080
Im gonna buy the IDST 70 and give it a try.
The mobile app is pretty interesting. I like being able to see the throttle %.
I ve got new rain 35a/160a with 390 brushed motor in Wltoys a979-a(my fpv car) on 2s 30c lipo and its preaty good overall/ geras 17t/38t.
Is goolrc 60a clone same with hobbywing 1060?
A lot of brushed ESCs have the same layout and form factor as the HW 1060. I've never cracked one open to see inside.

I haven't experienced any of those problems myself but thanks for the feedback.
I have the rain 480 esc but it’s in a shelf queen. I’m thinking about running it🤫🤫
I don't know which car I should put the 2 Rains into.
@@RCsRCCars I have mine in my tamiya TL01
Hobbywing 1060 =carson?
Across the esc, who can handle 3S Lipo nicely without burning?
The only 3S/brushed experience I've had is with the HW 1080 in a TRX-4. I had no issues there.
i’m using the isdt with 3s 5200mah 80c that’s fine in my crawler
Rain 60a can handle 2s and 3s batteries
That no brand esc was actually used by hsp on their smaller models. I know that, because I have one.
the no brand 60 literally burnt up in like 20 minutes for me
figured out why
the jumpers programmed the esc to use nimh batteries
didnt program it myself, was already on nimh instead of lipos
Mine burned after 10 minutes 😬
That was the most pointless test i've ever seen... You proved nothing...
