Thanks for making this video, I just got another tamiya euro truck that came with the THW-1060 but I still have the Tamiya TBLE-02 , wanted to use the better performing one! For racing.

I’m glad it helped. I’m starting to save the TBLE-02S as it seems like they’re going to be a collectors item. 👍

I've run the Hobbywing 1060 on combat robots (Beetleweights, used for drive motors) and it's been great durability wise despite the bot being tossed around lol! I should test the TBLE02S too lol.

I'm going to compare the 1060 to a few more ESCs very soon.

I'm currently modifying a WLToys RC car to a robot and to me the performance at the lower end (up to 20% throttle) is the most important, because I don't want the robot to go so fast. I noticed that cheap ESC often have very low PWM frequency like just 1kHz, which produces a very loud whine and causes a huge power loss at the lower RPM range. Are there known brushed ESCs that go well past 10kHz PWM so it's not audible at low rpm?
Since I don't know if anything better is available for that, I decided to design my own ESC with 40kHz PWM which should enable an extremely accurate and responsive control with good efficiency at low RPM range.

I bought a pair of those HyRC esc's and both of mine were defective right out of the box.
I have a bunch, maybe six or eight of the super cheap generic BDESC-S10E-RTR (I think these are the same as your last place finisher) bought from several different vendors calling them different things, they have all worked though not all worked the same or well. But for the Tamiya's I've got them in they are fine. Ohhh and I love project farm so thorough nice imitation you did well.

I enjoyed making this video. Tamiya ESCs are definitely worth holding on to. The 1060 is what I would put in my cars.

Would a power supply be obtainable for you? Could be able to supply motors and such with the same power for each test to eliminate battery fade etc. Would also be able to see current draw too which may be in interesting subject for comparisons, nonetheless a good test

I've been look at some $100 bench power supplies on Amazon. I couldn't think of other applications except using it for charging. I couldn't justify buying one. I think you are right. A constant power supply could give me more accurate results.

I have the generic 60amp. It looks like the weight and work (2wd vs 4wd)drawing from the esc factored into the placings. It took second place with the 2nd M06 Europa, but last with the others. I wonder how much the grasshopper (5th place) weighs compared to the M06.
    I ordered a 1060 lol.

how is it that the kyosho outperforms all of them if all seem to be clones of the hw1060. so maybe they are not really clones? what "parameter" makes the kyosho better than the rest?
