    please please please keep it up, the TT Mk1 is now over 18+ years old and repairing them is becoming more expensive & hard to find parts. These video's are a gem!

    All it’s done is rain here in Southend near London. I run Michelin cross climate all year around, for out weather and roads ((poor state) they are ideal. To do the chassis work on my TT I am going to have to get another small 🚘.

    Mate, love your Videos. They are short, informative, and fun to watch. please don't stop. Have you done a engine rebuild on the TT? Would be great project. Thanks :)

    I enjoy your interesting videos & how you test and overcome problems 😊. A video of you just driving your TT the scenic areas would be 😎. A video about the type of low mouthed gauges you have chosen would be interesting, as they look smart.

    hey I am buying a TT MK1 with the AC missing. I was told that it had to be removed to install the front mount intercooler. Is this true? I really want the AC compressor back in because it will kill me during summer. Do you think the previous owner knows what he is talking about? I tried to ask a bit more about the car condition, but no answer yet.

    Hi! I am about to change my cooling fans but don’t know which ones to order for my car, I have a 1999 APX, could you help with it?

  • @ChocoBaiterEUW

    i have 00792 but i have power to compressor but its not engaging. so im guessing it could be my compressor thats bad? have not heard fans running either but i remember testing them last year and they worked.

    • @wachu8605
      @wachu8605  ปีที่แล้ว

      It could be the compressor clutch as well. Verify it by applying 12v straight to the clutch plug and then go with the rest

    • @ChocoBaiterEUW
      @ChocoBaiterEUW ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wachu8605 yes tried today the clutch and its kicking in.. also fans not kicking in. but they are working on both speeds when hotwiring them on the termoswitch so im clueless. might be a dead new sensor?

    Wow! Nice video since I have to replace AC comp, humidifier and condenser.
    I wonder : did you add PAG oil in the compressor. I think it’s about 130 ml.
    Also, my 225 BAM TT is overheating.
    So I plan to replace the radiator and all the sensors.
    Fan are running with AC on, but not when the temp goes to 108 °C 😬
    Of course, I suspect the thermocontact on the radiator, and I have ordered the two connectors shape, since it’s impossible to check this with all the hoses and harness in the way.
    Something I’m not able to do like you is electrical mesurements :/
    But anyway.

      @wachu8605  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Verify the first gear, thats for sure. Also, trust me and get yourself familiar with the meter. You dont need fancy and expensive meter, the cheapest one possible will get you job done and will save you a lot of headache. Regarding the PAG oil it was out of my hands as the shop that i drove to connected car to some fancy machine and it was done automatically based on the VIN. Cheers!

      @@wachu8605
      Ok. It’s seems that the AC run only the first gear right ?
      I mean when the engine heat is not so hight. The second one depend on the engine heat, if needed. I saw on my new thermocontacter, not yet installed, two temps engraved ( 1- 95° C / 2- 102 ° C ). This is this sensor witch run the fan right ?
      I have a multimeter, but I’m scary to make an electric choc ⚡️😅
      You mean that some machines add some oil when filing with AC gas ?
      I’v heard that, yes. I have a bottle of PAG 46 anyway.
      Thanx for your answers ;)

    • @wachu8605
      @wachu8605  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@renedewael9703 Thats right, oil was added by machine along with the refrigerant :) But its totally fine to fill it at your own as long as you keep the values right.
      And yes, both of the fans are running at the first gear when AC is operating. Second speed is handled by the thermoswitch in radiator itself.
