- Starting the process of looking for either a house to buy or land to build on in Mexico. Getting started early to know what my options are. This house was priced a little to high ... I've seen other options with much more for less.

Too much for that house
Agreed. Wayy too much. I mentioned it in the video. Definitely seen much better and more for way less.
25 k , no more, do not let them fool you, I’m from Merida, trust me, I know.
$72,000 is too much! Love when you show videos like this, keep em’ coming👌
More to come for sure
Note that this area is in the restricted zone which requires foreign buyers to purchase the property with a trust in a Mexican bank. There are annual fees to maintain the trust and sales are cash, no mortgage. Property taxes have been almost nothing in this area but have gone up in the last couple of years.
I'm so Proud of Ms. Kim she is independently and confidently driving around the area. You go Ms. Kim..
For 70K they have new, better equipped, homes and condos you can buy. That's too expensive for the quality of home they're selling.
Consider buying a lot or some land, and getting your home built. It'll cut out the middle man and you can have a home with the floor plan you want.
Stay where you are until the first floor is built, then move in & get the second and third floors built later. Or build a Casita in the back, backyard while they construct the main house.
I lived in a tent & added an AC window unit while they built my second floor home.🤔
The TH-camr, in Merida, Alexander Howell knows of an engineer/builder you might like to speak with. The builder remodeled his home near Centro Merida. Check it out.😁👍
I love how you think... Thanks for sharing!
Buying is a good option when you have space to add on and customize from the existing structure. Otherwise building your own is the other great option. Someone else mentioned but my mom and her husband bought land and lived in an RV on it while theirs was being built. Bonus is if you can do some work yourself ! My mom got up on the roof and did all the shingle work, hubby did a lot of hands on as well . No different than Habitat for Humanity style. This Xmas get everyone tool belts , hammers etc! Y’all can do it!
I'm so ready to be a permanent resident of Mexico 🇲🇽 help me get it done ❤
You'll be there before you know it.
The overgrown yards in front of EVERY property. 😮
The house is way too small for the price.
Absolutely
Like the photo bombing by your daughter in the background 😅
I like the farther out houses too. More trees are nice.
Yes ❤❤❤
Too small and over priced
Interesting content and information.

I loved this video. I hope you show more videos of homes to buy and land to buy in the future!!!!!!
I will be doing many more of these over the next 12-month as I search for myself.
Yasss❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing, like you said go take a look and then see if it is what you need. Dont know a lot about home prices in Mexico but it seems a little pricey!
That looks like a $30,000 because I see how they want to raise it more .but the space is small and they didn't add the cabinets and drawers etc. Ceiling fans
Im ready
Keep looking bro you will find the perfect house for you and family
Are houses sold for cash or do they have mortgages?
Where's the house in the thumbnail?
70k for a very, very, unfinished home. Hell no !!!! They are trying to make a 50k profit off a unfinished house.
LiL sis, KKIIIIMMM!☺. A natural beauty. 70k????. That seems a lot for that house.
Definitely a bit much
Conkal is still being built up .
Man, that's a Doll's House or a flat.
That neighborhood looks hood to me
Is it cash
Some parts look a lot like leigh Acres florida
That's a smart move 🌄🦍❤️
1.3 Million Pesos…😳🤔
Can definitely find better priced options for sure
Too much work for the money. I'm sure you guys can do better!!
For sure. The search continues
U get a hole house then all thoes aminites ..... Ih hel il take 4
Hell nah, that neighbor ain't 100%😮
Ripp
jejeje
Bars on windows, in a city touted as being safe? I'm good. Lol
There's more to the story about bars, walls and gates... Research it before you make a decision based on 'our cultural biases' in the States.
Too high but I bet you can neg that down easily. Does not show well. Cash is king
Definitely to much. They is much better out there. Interesting you always say "I"am.., not "we" are. Does the family get imput?
They get all the input. We in the house we in now because they all wanted it , lol. I wanted something else 😂😂😂
And i wanted something cheaper 😂😆🤣
The house i wanted was 3 bedrooms for $8500 pesos
@@MoveAbroadandThrive😂😂
It is a bit pricey.
I saw a 565 sq. ft. House in west Hollywood sold for 1.2 million a couple of days ago, was it worth it ? Everything is worth whatever someone will give. That said, I have seen those square cinder block houses all over Mexico between 10 - 50 thousand US, so $72 grand does seem overpriced especially given the look of the surrounding neighborhood
No thanks!
OVERPRICED, Get out of there, Ross!!!
I ran out, lol
Location location location...no matter which country you decide to live.
Bottom line, that neighborhood looks very sketchy to bring a family. It looks like the hood, nobody takes care of the outsides, graffiti all over, cars permanently parked in front yards, on and on it goes.
That's a rip off lol. Maybe worth half that.
Nope. Not at all.
Agreed. They trying to get over
You could do way better in the USA. I got a house in a decent neighborhood in Philly for way less than that. And way better. The Mexicans who live across from have a much better house than what you are showing. I guess that is why they bought in the USA and not their homeland of Mexico.
Definintely agree, they got this particular house priced HIGH
A cinder block house is better don't have to worry about termites
Obviously you have no idea what are you talking about not all Mexicans want to go north to the USA and the ones that do usually come from really small towns with no opportunity of work and no education and sure the house is a bit expensive for what it is .. oh by the way watch out for the next mass shooting
Too much for that house....I do not like it.
Nah. Definitely not worth it.
Overpriced
Way over priced and banking on a foreign buyer.
Horrible neighborhood and houses! Houses? to me they are shoe boxes!!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts
Looks terrible
