Ty ! So great to see if your on a tight budget you can still get a house and not have to worry about rent increases. That's us tight budget so nice to see you can make it work. Thank you again. Loved seeing what's available and most certainly these cheap houses can be fixed up,
I jusr love that you show so many different areas. So far you've shown a wider variety of places to live in that corner of the Yucatán than any other TH-camr. It's great! Thank you! 😊
Here's the thing you can fix up that little house.. just for starters 😉 add a get away place to get your beak wet.. and take your time fixing it up for 21000 or $23,000 and can still be able to drive to that little house just to get away from America as a starter for that price you can't beat good information keep doing what you're doing because people are struggling in America right now so funny
I've seen some of the "affordable housing" small-home communities for locals over near Playa del Carmen--a few years after completion...you might want to go see what they look like once "settled"-filled in. Wild west. People living outdoors mostly, opening up businesses in their parking areas, it wasn't pretty,,,just a heads up. Would not appeal to most Americans.
Thank you my brother n sister! Great video. Same just north of Puerto Vallarta...more affordable in Nayarit. Shop like a Mexican and stay out of Walmart and Costco!
I sincerely admire what you are doing. I have been thinking about driving to Mexico and taking a personal look for myself. I agree 100% with what you are saying about that town you are showing us. I presently live in south Florida. Moved down many years ago from Brooklyn, New York. My birth place is Puerto Rico and it is definitely very expensive to live there. I honestly believe some towns in Mexico, would be the ideal place for people on social security, especially veterans, which I am one. Please, please...would you kindly tell us ALL, how YOU got to discover Merida, and how long ago. Do you come and go from the u.s.? Tell us your whole story, okay? Thank you very much! Sincerely, Joe.
Nice. Folks act as if they need to have a huge home. I would want to know is it high enough off the ground if it flooded? Also, what does car insurance usually run out there for those that may want a car? Folks would have to sell their car in the IS or is it an option to either drive there or ship it? We all know insurance in the states can be ridiculous so I was just curious. Thanks for all that you do.
I pay about $600 for top end car insurance with a broker that has English agents. (2018 VE Vento) I have had to test this insurance twice, unfortunately, and been happy so far.
This is what I need....a simple starter home to get out of paying rent. I can make take my time for the improvement while saving up and not be stressed out.
All lies 🤥🤥🤥 Foreigners can buy land, they do it everyday. There are some stipulations for those living near the beach , or near border towns, but you can buy real estate estate. I see it happening regularly
To mzny in the states this looks better than there current neighborhoid or reminds of the little town there family is from...not much difference....to be able to get something that is your own
Please learn the culture in Mexico. These are calm happy trusting people. Dont encourage people to running from bullets… they will not be as loving an happy and trusuing … don’t ruin the attitude in Mexican communities! That concerns me! Respect the culture that is so.beautiful and sincere. It will ruin their culture. You are in their Culture … you accept & learn to live their ways! PASS IT and GUVE BACK. Not JUST TAKE. These people not GREEDY.
@@MoveAbroadandThrive, Cartess, There are several of these recently built out in Gran San Jose Kanasin area. A local person I met told me his cost $19,000 USD new. However, I am not sure if these are available to expats. My Spanish still needs work so i was not able to understand from him if the new ones out there are only available to Mexicans. He did manage to explain that it was being done through a housing program pushed by the Mexican President (AMLO) and the current administration as they seek to make home ownership more available to people of modest means. Quite a few were still under construction when I visited just after Christmas. You might want to check that area to see if you can find information on those for your viewers.
Perfect for 21k , its not Cookie cutter neighborhood like in usa but what is not pretty and cookie cutter is when you have to pay rent or mortgage in usa with the fake inflated prices , imagine getting up every 1st of the month rent or mortgage free 😊😊😊
So, how about aome places that are like 40, 80, 120, 240? Not saying the 20k places aren't nice but, my wife would chop my balls off if I even suggested staying there 😅.
Improve your speech please.. no Dat instead say There. It’s not Hood Talk. Tell people they are guests to their Culture and dont come an bring American culture. Respect where you move. Please say this constantly… don’t encourage people that will not do this.
Thanks Cartess for showing that Merida has houses for every budget.

Great showing thanks again to a well job done. You are the best.
Both homes just needed a some renovation, and they are livable. Thank you Cartess for showing what's available if your willing to put in some work.

My only concern would be continous flooding
It's nice to know that you can get a home in a range of prices, thanks!
Thank you for this video!
This reminds me a lot like the house my dad has in Playas de Tijuana
Me gusta La Playa TJ!
There any neighbourhoods with baseball diamonds or basketball courts, tennis courts?
What realtors can i contact to buy one?
These are gone.... But contact me if you're looking for something like these: support@moveabroadandthrive.com
Hi Curtess, I was told that you cant buy property in Mexico. I love Merida Yucatan. And it is a place I could live.
All lies 🤥🤥🤥 Foreigners can buy land, they do it everyday. There are some stipulations for those living near the beach , or near border towns, but you can buy real estate estate. I see it happening regularly
Great stuff Cartess , 😎
That’s not a bad spot for $21,000
I could make both of those small homes fabulous!
What can you get fot $50 to $75,000 American?
I want to see this also.
Oh yes!!! This the area I want you to show me! I’m signing up!!!! Gimme That!!!
Great fixer upper.
Were you from Kin?
Can I buy it in the US and have someone rent the place out for me?
My thought as well.
Very nice!
what area is this?
Thank you so much! ❤
Shit that’s perfect in California u would still be homeless for 21,000
Hey Cortez, I need a serious plan for my arrival to Mexico by February ❤ How can I get started? THANKS 👍 ❤️ 😊 🫂 🙏
Its the water damage for me
Easy to mitigate unless there's extensive damage. It didn't look extensive.
😂 can't get away from "pollo". If the zoning allows, with that back yard overtime you can make yourself a comfy home. It's a money saver.
Man just think if your rent was only 200 per month l could live there easily my SSI check and
small retirement check could mostly stay in the bank.😅

I may have missed it but where are the houses located in Merida?
Right outside of the Merida perimeter in a neighborhood called "Mulchechen"

Are you kidding me
Has any one experienced getting charged more money for food if u dont look like you belong??
Nope, prices are posted. Generally, I have found Mexicans to be honest and generous. ATB.
So Merida is safer than Mazatlan? I think I'd rent for a little while!
This is more like it.
Hey,,,I drive a big truck too 😂😂😂😂😂
Esa casa es mala hombre. Mucho dinero por mierda 😂😂
I would pay 11,500 USD for that house.
I'm a Realtor...tell me where u can get that for 11,500....nothing selling today for under 120-150 that's livable?
Yep $21.000
That’s a lot of money for that dump
😊😊😊😊
😂😂😂true as a older single woman this place looks sketchy
Where could you buy a home like this in the states for this price?
@@bettyb1581 It's a working class neighborhood and there are plenty of 'em in the states. The point is that Merida is quite safe comparatively.

3rd world country
Places like this or worst all over the US. Trump and men like him have turned the US into a 3rd world country.
