Great review. Trying to understand the key differences between the 2024 Trd sport and 2024 SR5. What I’m finding is suspension is better on the sport but I cant tell how significant. Any insight on this or other key differences?
I'm buying it as Toyota trucks last. The Toyota Production System (TPS) is better than any other productions system. I've had my 2006 Tacoma for 18 years and 180K miles on it and it still runs like new. No major mechanical problems. Can't say that about the Chevys or Fords I've had in the past. Great value for the money.
I wonder how comparable Tacoma is gonna be to Nissan Frontier (especially uphill terrain climbing) and if cab&bed options will be advantage to Toyota in terms of selling volume.
E.g. Shortcab Volkswagen Amarok is prouced and sold only in Southern America.....Therefore I ruminate if Tacoma's EU alternative is gonna offer short cab+long bed...
Am I confused? Yes. Does the extended cab really come with 4 doors but no rear seats? Is it just the prerunner that only has 2 doors?
The XtraCab does not have rear doors. The Double Cab has four-doors.
It’s a nice truck, but yes I agree it’s not much different than the 23 model. And no V6. Pricing is getting by out of hand with trucks now. Idk
I couldn't be more disappointed in the 24 Tacoma. It's a good thing my 2020 TRD PRO will most likely last forever.
Yeah....Having way more torque, actual disc brakes, a better interior, more engine response and slightly better fuel economy is a horrible thing. Lol
@@user-sn1lu5yi6r Toyota is banking on knuckleheads like yourself to drink the koolaid. Dont come crying to me.
@@user-sn1lu5yi6r And also a better, more responsive transmission and rear end without weak, sagging rear leaf springs.
Mine as well; a 2022 TRD PRO👍🏻. Don’t drink the Kool-aid!?😳
I bought the 24 SR5 4WD and while I like it, I definitely feel like I overpaid. $45k should get me a truck with a lot more features. No heated/cooled seats, not a hybrid, and nothing that really blows my hair back.
I like the truck but I overpaid. I have some serious buyers remorse.
I don't get it. Everyone's comments all want changes with the new 2024 Tacoma. Now that they did it know wants the truck????
Going with the Hybrid Maverick n 2022, replacing my 2020 Tacoma was the way to go! 24 years just to get the disc brakes on the Tacoma is just an example how Toyota cares for their customers. Ford's incredible success with the Maverick will force Toyota to build a small truck to compete against them. With that, Ford will finally introduce the Maverick PHEV. Thanks, Toyota!!
Maverick is so much inferior to the Tacoma. Maverick is a unibody design. It’s like a mid size suv with a bed
@@GopherFix Fair point. At least, Maverick doesn't leave me stranded like the Tacoma did twice with its drum brakes, and it still has enough space in the bed to carry my motorcycle making double MPG (42mpg vs. 19mpg)
I'm completely underwhelmed. So much so that I think my next vehicle will be an F-150 with 5.0 - regular cab, 4x4.
i can explain all the trim grades in 1 word. OVERPRICED.
That interior looks so cheap.
The smooth plastics will have a texture in the production models. The video shows a prototype.
