    Its a 4 Cylinder I dont care how many turbos you throw on it. It will always be an over worked 4 Cylinder. I have a V8 GX460 and the engine is never searching for power and never sounds over worked. They should have offered a naturally aspirated V6 option. Thats why people loved the old 4runner/Tacoma. SIMPLE reliability thats what made Toyota great.

    • @Bmstaudy
      @Bmstaudy  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I agree but to an extent, I’ve never owned an i4 vehicle, but agree they can be overworked. Toyota is known for their reliability though and there really isn’t a perfect cylinder number

    Perfect how? It’s overpriced and they don’t even feel like a truck when I test drove it. Felt weak when I hit the gas. Not to mention let’s not forget it’s made in Mexico and the 4wd is the worst version EVER. And don’t forget this is this biggest exodus Toyota has ever had with more Tacoma owners switching to other brands than ever before. We get it you got buyers remorse. Toyota lost me as a customer after that test drive.

      I’m just gonna go ahead and state that your comment is almost 100% BS. Sorry to tell you, but the new truck is better in every single way, as it should be… it’s got more power, equal or better fuel mileage per tank, has a better interior, sounds better, and looks better (I know these last two are more subjective, but that’s my opinion). I owned a gen 3 trd OR premium and that truck was more expensive than my current gen 4… don’t get all the extra crap you don’t need and they don’t cost any more than any other Tacoma ever built (accounting for inflation). Don’t get me wrong, I liked my gen 3 a lot, but after having this one for 2 months now, it’s just a better truck, plain and simple. It seems the trendy thing to do these days is to go online and whine about things you have no clue about or no actual interest in using yourself. The Tacoma is doing just fine, and if you have been paying attention, you’d know that ALL new cars are expensive these days, and interest rates are also very high.

      @@kevinbradley8613 If that’s the case then why would you pay 65k for a truck that doesn’t have nearly the options as what the new Colorado zr2 ? I have owned numerous tacomas and it’s funny how much of you guys are fanboys for a brand that is underwhelming. My first car was. 91 4Runner. Your preaching the the choir my friend. You too will soon realize Toyota doesn’t care about its longtime customers

    • @kevinbradley8613
      @kevinbradley8613 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@Canyon04 I wouldn’t pay $65K… as I mentioned… you’re comparing top trim levels. My new truck was $44K, trd OR, manual transmission, no gimmicks. It’s a sweet truck. My ‘22 trd OR was nearly $48K when I bought it! Don’t hate on something you’ve got no actual clue about. If you don’t want a new truck, don’t buy one, or better yet, buy one that you do want! It’s pretty simple. Toyota isn’t the best company and I’m no “fanboy” I’ve owned all kinds of different vehicles over the years and enjoyed most of them. Jeeps, VWs, Nissan, Subaru… my father worked for GM for 40 years, I grew up with chevys. They all make nice vehicles! Even Ford lol. I’ve driven and used a few f150s over the years for work trucks. Unfortunately, they are getting more expensive, but that’s more OUR fault than the individual companies. We demand more, they give us more, and it costs MORE. If you’re comparing the top trim Chevy, ford, and Tacoma… no questions, I’d probably pick the Chevy or the GMC (same trucks basically), but I don’t need something like that, and most people don’t. Spending over $60K on a midsized truck is crazy to me, but if that’s what you want, go for it. It’s more for bragging rights than anything else, but I’m not hating if that’s your thing. Keep what you’ve got if you like it. Saying the new taco is underpowered tells me you’re not serious and you definitely haven’t driven one. I’m not making it up when I say it is literally better in every way! It has a smaller gas tank… I get the same miles per tank as I did in my ‘22. Moot point. Everything else is an improvement. Frame, transmission, motor, suspension, interior, even the fit and finish is better than my gen 3 (also built in Mexico btw).
