- Today, May 25 is Africa Day. 57 years ago, in 1963 the Organisation of African Union (OAU) was founded. The organisation was established to fight colonialism and apartheid, as well as unite Africans, whether on the continent or abroad, in common challenges.
In 2002, the OAU changed it's name to the African Union.

Although i am disappointment with African Union as we celebrate African day the lack of Awareness from our state leaders of the plight of the Achipelago Islanders near Mauritius who were forceful removed from their island to make way for the American military for the past 50 years is not taken into account.

I love her, for refusing to take the ambassador position back, if given a chance. I am telling you there needs to be a "PAN AFRICAN UNION" and we already have the head of it. Then she would speak for the diaspora the continent and bring in money and start schools in the diaspora and on the continent. She would also be able to address matters at United Nations as the PAU leader.
