I think Dr. Quao is more influential now than she was before neo-colonialism took the AU Ambassadorship-to-the-U.S. position away from her. Now, she has no limitations on her service. She can speak clearly, and truthfully to her people. It's good to see her taking the opportunity to make a substantial impact toward African liberation, and independence.

A friendly correction. Pan Africanism started with the Hon.Marcus Garvey. It is true that Mr.Garvey's mentor was Dr.Booker T Washington of Tuskegee fame; but Mr.Garvey was drawn to his teachings of self reliance which Mr.Garvey intern molded into his philosophy of Pan-Africanism.

Mikea Simkele Marcus Garvey was mentored by booker t Washington where he not only saw black American economics ( self reliance) but also black unity!! aka pan Africanism, Garvey obviously saw that and decided to take the concept to a global scale!!! concerning all black People
The concept of ‘we all black’ which paved the way for Pan-Africanism is a North American thing!!! When we were on the plantation it didn’t matter if a black person was light, dark, brown or could pass for white, if you had black in you, you was considered black (one drop blood rule)!!!. Unlike the Caribbean’s/South America (Spain/Portugal territory) where if you were lightskin you was oftentimes set free.
Most of the first Pan African leaders on the African continent were also the first president of Nigeria, Ghana and a few other countries who went to HBCUs where they learned about pan Africanism which ultimately created the African Union.

Our children must jealously protect and make the land productive.
When they too, become parents, they assume the responsibility of custodianship for their children. Our children are our future leaders and we must teach them to unite and lead Africa into the future. Every African life matters : be they rich or poor.

Powerful and sensational conversation for the African resurgence. A call for all African to look at Africa in the historical perspective. Individual contribution for this cause at all levels is substantial. For the next generation to see the independence attained meaningful, it only when Africa is no longer submissive and irresponsible. Political space across Africa has vital role in shaping strategic prosperity for African generation and not otherwise. Dr Africana and the pannelist deserve a helping hand for this robust and wake up call.

No your comment is not entirely true, that name 'Mosi-oa-Tunya' is in Lozi language, which has lots of influence of the Kololo language. Of course the makololo people (Sotho people) moved from South Africa (around Lesotho) and invaded the Western part of Zambia and inter married there. The Luyi and Kololo languages integrated and a new language, Lozi, was born.

You don't need to 'contact' anybody. Just do your research online. I would start by visiting a major African country where English is the official language. Countries like Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, etc. Fly to their capitals. Just book a flight and hotel and go for a week or so, just to get a feel for the place. Once you've done that a couple of times you will find it easy to set up there. There's a lot of demand for all kinds of services because the African middle class is expanding rapidly. The continent is booming. If you set up a soul food restaurant or even a gym or spa in Lagos, Nigeria or Nairobi, Kenya, or Accra, Ghana, you'll make serious profit. Africa is your fatherland. Go there and take your stand. The people are so hospitable (they'll actually tell you 'Welcome home' everywhere you go), plus the continent is far more developed and wealthier than is shown on US TV, you'll kick yourself for not having visited much earlier.

@@mebabeni am black Zimbabwean just being realistic, we all want that kind of Africa, however this lady is dealing with some of the most corrupt dictators in Africa, she mentioned Munangagwa giving away land 1000 of acres, has our parliament even approved that, don't we have a say. We as Africa have a great responsibility to our wild animals, and that land our president has pledged to give away host some of our majestical animals. Why not developing the already existing urban areas. Finally , Munangagwa is the wealthiest man in Zimbabwe worth over 5billion USDollars from milking his own country dry. Should I go on my brother ? I love my Africa, but this lady is being used, you sleep with dogs you get fleas

Well said: "understanding each other". Speaking understanding each other means let us speak one language on the continental level. Be Sawili, haousa, or lingala or Dioula. I don't care. Language unites people and give a sense of belonging.

I will always love Idi Amin. He never gave a sh*t about the colonizers nor 'queen's english'! He never missed an opportunity to ridicule them. Something all of us as Africans should learn from. Embrace our own. We see ourselves as being short. The world sees us as sleeping giants! We only need to wake up and stand up.

I have not studied idiom mean but I have studied Shaka Zulu and the reason why I continue to use him as an example because he was a warrior and he did not have a formal Western education yet he was able to outsmart the colonizers and he never feared them the African man is afraid of the white man and the African American man is afraid of the white man same color of people to different geographical locations behaving in the same manner.
And America the black man teaches his sons to fear the police which are 99.99% white male and female and to assimilate into a culture that is cancerous to them and then turn around and sleep with the Enemy at an alarming rate to ensure that acceptance is earned this is not the action of a warrior of an alpha male or a strong man strong man uphold their communities and keep their women and their children safe by any means necessary.
The African man is just like the African American man the same group of people come into the continent and dictate to the black man and the black woman what they should do how they should do how much money is going to take and everything else and the African man miles down signs contracts and lays down and let the white man clean his shoes off on his back pretty much that's what's been going on for the last 50 years as white people have continually come to the continent and as the lady of four mentioned they come broke busted disgusted and they leave Africa skinning and grinning and money in the bank mean while Kenya has the biggest slums South Africa is practically signed over everything to the white man they even have an all-white town that black people can't even go to on a black continent that is truly the definition of insanity but I digress white men and Asian men are sleeping with black women and marrying some of them and the black women think that they have Mary King's because of the white savior complex and Asian man is marrying into the wealth of the continent which is an old game and they're playing it like it's a new one and they are winning so everybody is winning off of The Blood Sweat and Tears Again of the African man and woman children in Africa are still going to school on mud blocks with slate even though there are cities but I'm talking about country people don't have adequate water don't have electricity don't have basic needs being met but the white man and the Asian man are smiling all the way to the banks people can come to Africa without credentials proving the fact that they are doctors go into your towns and murder hundreds of children it has happened this year the medications that are coming into the country first of all why are medications even coming into the country why isn't Africa making its own medicine and what vaccines are necessary what diseases did Africans have prior to the arrival of a caucasians that's a question that no one seems to answer I guarantee you nothing that you're getting vaccinated for white people have come to Africa and stolen everything just walked all over your backs and you continue to swing the welcome door open and welcome these Savages and to your continent and to your individual countries as if they are friend no one cares about black people anywhere on this planet except black people and if that's not a fundamental truth then all of the horrific situations that we continue to experience and witness as people of color and I don't mean multiple Shades I'm talking about just the Negro people just the indigenous black people just the hamites and the shemites am I making myself clear.
Why did God give the most wealthiest continent on the faces of the Earth to the black man and he has children starving homeless disease written living in 10 Shacks shantytowns gave you all the all the diamonds all the rubies all the Platinum all the gold all the the different minerals that are being harvested from your continent and your people are literally destitute and I know that there are rich Africans just as there are rich descendants of slaves but I'm talking about the masses if all don't make it none have made it and just because the white man

How did Africa feed itself prior to the arrival of the Caucasians these are good questions because until Africa, self-reliant and purges itself and purifies itself from Colonial rule Asian rule and all of the other foreign rule nothing is going to change and it's going to take a cleansing a debugging rethinking re-educating with a self preservationist motivation you have to be about the business of black people for black people by by black people.

Everything that the food and nutritionist lady said is very good now the next challenge is getting rid of the hamburgers getting rid of the coke and Pepsi products because the all that does is harm there is nothing good there's no nutritional benefits benefits from Coke Pepsi products McDonald's the fast food chains none of them are good for you and Africa does not have to mimic the West because the West is having a problems with obesity malnutrition disease and the source is most of the time the food so the first thing the African governments need to do is get rid of the fast-food get rid of that Western stuff I mean why do Africans have to do everything like the white man even though it has been proven to be a disadvantage to the Africans we have to do things differently we are people of Excellence are we need to step out on faith I trust ourselves and the Creator the creator has never created an inferior man or superior man he simply created man an African man in the African woman deserves an opportunity all the continent that God bless them with 2 govern themselves feed themselves close themselves educate themselves medicate themselves grow their own economy speak their own languages have their own currency and have a self preservation is attitude about ensuring that every black child is precious and is the future but the future has everything its needs to continue.
It's funny how Bill Gates and his wife we'll build abortion clinics which kill black babies instead of clean wind and miniature homes or water pure water you know Bill buildings do something but instead they are putting abortion clinics all over the place I mean black people do we have to just spell everything out paraphrase it I don't know to get black people to understand that nobody cares about black people except black people but we can just get the leaders to understand that just because white people smile at you does not mean that they are like or love you they have been your enemies the entire time we have done unmentionable things and they don't apologize for it if you own it people do to you what you allow an African have a loud the Caucasian man and the Asian man to come in and make sure it work of them and then what their feets are on their backs

This is a wonderful lecture about some of the problems in Africa.Medicines made outside the continent should be regulated before they go into an African state.Land reform needs to take place in Africa.Land should be taken out of the hands of chiefs and families and made much easier for people outside of Africa to purchase.African states should be run by men and women who are honest so that the continent can move forward. The wars in Africa tend to make the continent backward.Africa needs doctors, housing, good roads, trains etc.
