I dislike shop bought bread so I frequently make tati scones, however like you mentioned they don't last long no matter how many of them I make🤭🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇿🇦

Hi, I'm a "typical lazy bachelor", who started wondering if I could make these with good results using instant mashed potatoes, instead of having to boil and peel and mash the whole potatoes. Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks for the demo, and keep up the good work! BTW, seems that these might also go good with Haggis and/or Lorne Square sausage patties! 😋

Do you have to use self raising flower? Im excited to try this recipe. I've always put flour down in the pan instead of butter, and I don't usually add milk because when I make mashed potatoes I put milk in them but these look so much fluffier than mine!! Thank you!

Hello, I would use it if you have it available, if not you could use plain and add some baking powder but you need a little rise in the recipe. :-) Hope that helps x

Im not complaining, but I dont remember what led me here and why im watching cooking tutorials at 1 in the morning. Once again, not complaining. Just confused.

tattie scones are the best, measurements are pointless, follow your heart, and by the second attempt youll ken exactly fit you want, they're awfa intuitive to make, ken? and get in there with your hands. shallow-frying in a combo of animal fat and butter is my recommendation!
