Brushless motor will help the battery stay charged longer so that's a plus. A 14 inch bar is not really going to preform it's best on a 10 inch log so this was impressive. Good quick review ... Cheers

For sure....I just wanted to see if it would cut it without stalling and it was impressive. I did use it to remove a 40 ft maple and it was perfect up in the tree.

Thanks for the tip....I will check it out. I just started looking into battery powered and for the price I am giving it a shot. Plus I have the batteries already. The husky saw seems like a winner too.
*** edit.... looked up the echo and it's a 56v battery powered saw. Cost is $790 plus taxes (bare tool) in Canada about double the makita. Compare to Husky and stihl cost wise. Cheers

Can improve battery run time and cutting and performance and even put a longer bar on if modify sprocket bar to a 1/4 pitch chain.
