Got an 1987 A grade B125 with great wood, 30 inch fixed choke ,I love it , I am not into engraving so a black action suits me. Great review as always !
Again a great review. I have a B.125 here serial number 252 PN (1989 ??) The bottom barrell has some marks sadly, it shoots well engraving signed L. Ernst haven't a clue as to grade. You are absolutely right it does not handle like a B.25 though. Really enjoy your articles looking forward to more from you in the future.
I point out that the B-125 did not precede the Browning Citori. Citori Type 1 and 2 (rather rare) were being made since the mid-70s, and are with the Miroku President, Miroku's best shot at matching Fabrique Nationale craftsmanship in the eyes of the Western public. Cost of labor was an issue with Browning, however, and the machine-made Citori were launched at lower prices with the 325. Perhaps you could talk about those earlier Browning/Miroku Citori Type 2 and 3 (Grades II and V) and President (Grades 11, 12, 13), which are, in high grades, absolute beauties comparable to the Belgian Superposés of the Diana Grade.
I think perhaps if it was a c or d grade I would be tempted... but the b grade just doesn't excite me. I look at the engraving and just doesn't do it for me. Jonny are the current 'John M. Browning Collection' B25' - CONTRE PLATINES Grade fully made in Belgium? It's not a gun that would be within my budget (£14k+?), not to mention the fact that I'm only a beginner so my skill/experience level would not justify such a gun. But some day.... If it's not too much trouble would you mind sending me a pricelist for the options on one? Take care and thank you for this video, I really enjoyed it!
Agreed on the grading, I am led to believe that all B25 are made entirely in belgium. The B15 however is the modern carnation of this cross continental hydrid. Send me an email (address in last members vlog) and i shall see what i can do. Browning are shut until the end of the week i am told
Hi John, let me ask you regarding the chokes. I have bought a brand new shotgun, got it directly from a factory. A choke from the lower berrel screws in and out very smoothly, where as the upper berrel choke goes in and out with little difficulty, needs a little force to screw them in. Do you think it is a problem for a shotgun and/or it will reflect on shooting? Thank you in advance!!!😊😊
What would you say if I told you I found a brand new B125 Sporting still in the box that has never been fired? It was engraved by master engraver Pierre Lallemand and his name is on the gun. Worth the money for $3400 Canadian (2000 British pounds)?
Swings and roundabouts with the design, easier to open and close than a push rod cocking dog gun. No less strong as an action, so it’s down to purely aesthetic preference
When Browning did the Cynergy, we got the solid receiver floor. But we also got ejectors that stick-out (protrude) under tension when the barrel is off. ☹️

Yes!
He i'm a Beligian...
I don't like all those holes in the bottom of Browning actions. Gunshop folks is it stronger / better / as good as solids?
