    What I intended on doing was taking a live thermometer reading showing you guys where the motors were at after the run. Borderline cold/warmish

      How do you keep your ESC from going bad I have a couple of xlx ESC and they all went dead after one pass ?

      @@reapersrcperformance8835 myself and a couple of Castle representatives were discussing this. Why I bought my motor is for that reason. I believe over time, Delta winded motors cause more internal stress, if it's a massive TP CM series motor it definitely heats everything up and quick. My new motor left everything COLD. Hence why it's so expensive. Efficiency is damn near Godlike compared to any other motor...
      My theory was, higher efficiency motor, less heat, longer esc life.
      Believe me, I am working on figuring out why people are blowing these up. Tp cm motors are NOT for beginners in speed/ drag. Anything really. You did one pass? Maybe geared way too high.

      @@InnovationRC I'm running a Ofna dm1 7 scale with a 26 pinion and a 40 spur with the new 2900 kill mode motor and cat pack and I do drag racing, I did a hole event and heat was good and everything I even won the hole event with this car but for some reason weeks later I took the car out for a spin and only did one pass and that was it .

    Good place to run,. Both Did well, first run off to the side to control, cool, second run, you took a chance standing in the road, please be safe, tire blow, hit a rock, I know your a good driver and builder, carry on speed master!

      It's habit on my end to be close to when I run. If I start off clean I'll get closer to the car. But still, after 80 mph I don't really own the car anymore...

    Talion on 8S is awesome but for me I just love the Typhon. Great passes both and that motor seems super efficient. Good data.

    • @InnovationRC
      @InnovationRC  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My Neu motor can run 8s... but I want to stay 6s until I break at least 140. No point in me running 8s yet.
      That's why I always run my typhon. I love it

    Ok, thanks for the quick response. Currently running Tp 4070 on my Talion with src wheels. 20/34 roughly 82mph. Was wondering if Cordova 1900kv would be alot faster .

    My leopard 4082 1680kv gets really hot at 6s on talion with backflips. Im using throttle like nitro, so temp is 245f when ambient is 95f. I bought much lighter katars but if i get those expensive motor, does it worth? Im planning to buy 1515 neu 1760 but dont know its good spending. Seems 5 times expensive.. going to run at 6s, Sometimes on grass. Neu1515 seems light too. Its 350grams. I want to setup my talion as light as possible.

    • @InnovationRC
      @InnovationRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You shouldn't have to sacrifice the OEM tires to get cooler temps when the OEM system runs fine. Likely it's your motor that's inefficient. If you want lightweight I'd go with the 1512 1800kv. Or 2200, weight is slightly different not noticible

    • @InnovationRC
      @InnovationRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Also keep in mind the bigger the can the less heat the motor will get, more torque it can out out with the same given kv. Check out the 1521 can sizes, might be to your liking

  • @youngestatesllc
    @youngestatesllc 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    The TP 40 70 motor is a 2200 KV motor 6s and 8s rated. Was looking at the 1900kv Cordova or 2300kv

    • @InnovationRC
      @InnovationRC  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Theoretically 2300kv will have a higher rpm per volt. But if you get a Cordova that's super efficient, but slower, there's a chance efficiency might prevent a lot of voltage drop under load, increasing rpm. It's debatable. You'll run slower if you swap that 1900kv in. But you'd be super cool.
      I'd gear up 2 teeth then go from there if you decide on the Cordova.

    What's up guys would you happen to know if a Cordova 1900 KV is faster than the TP power 40 70

    • @InnovationRC
      @InnovationRC  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1900kv is 8s rated. 4070 in TP is just a class size. Depending on what wind configuration and KV it may be debatable. Cordova will already be more efficient than tp if your comparing exact kv/wind/class size. But. Tp still is the bets bang for your buck, spend $200 less and still get to a crazy speed.
