I bought the SylvanSport Go camper and will be trying it out for the first time in a couple of weeks! I have set it up a couple of times in my driveway and I’m here to tell you it is extremely easy to set up and take down. Customer service at SylvanSport is amazing as well!
I’m just amazed by the Alto and how no other camper comes close. All aluminum construction, enclosed toilet and shower with the fixed roof version, panoramic windows, beautiful to look at ... and totalweight under 2000 lbs. Tough to beat!
I like the second one. I can see myself towing that behind a big dodge truck with a northern star camper already in the bed. That way I have my private studio and the main house all in tow and ready to go.
Of all the units in this video the travel trailer from Safari is by far the best deal. They are well known with a long track record of high quality craftmanship. I think in fact it was also the least expensive unit on the list but the only one with everything indoors. The fixed roof variation of the Alto is about 28K USD which compared to everything else on this list is the deal of the century. You can also get it in a 21ft version for about $34k USD. The pricing on some of the pop up units in this list were mind boggling.
Saw an Alto setup next to me. It really is one of the best designed travel trailers / tear drops / camping trailers every. Built in bathroom, easy to setup, and very light weight. Its 20k, but all Al construction means it will last a lot longer then a fiberglass popup. If it was just my wife and 1 kid its what I would have bought (except I have 3 kids, so its never going to work for us).
I like all of your selections. It's great that there are so many price ranges so that anyone can afford a well-designed camper/tent trailer/ Personally, I like no. 9. Light weight and variable capabilities are great. Your no. One is a great choice, if you can afford it. I saw one on TH-cam that was $95,000.00! I don't blame anyone for taking a gulp on that. It is an amazing home -on-wheels, though!
No.6 ( the Lumberjack Glenaire ) is an Australian designed and manufactured trailer . All of our prices are in AUD not USD so its actually cheaper for the US market. We at the moment have no presence in the US but we are looking at and would be interested in talking to any company who is willing and able to distribute our product into the US. Would be tough to do that and somehow turn a profit. You would have to change the voltage and replace all the electrical outlets (US outlets have completely vertical plugs, Australian outlets are tilted at a 20-degree angle). At 230V, you would need a power converter to reduce the output 50%! Also, owners would have to buy a whole set of metric size wrenches for adjustments if they don't have one. They might also have to sacrifice as much as possible to avoid the biggest problem: finding parts for Australian appliances such as the refrigerator.
Good quality video. You might retitle the video along the lines of the “most expensive”, coolest campers. Christ, 53k for a pop up? Out of my league, still fun watching what rich people can buy.

While I like #1, my favorite is #3 which was also designed here in Australia & has been sold for quite a few yrs now as the T-van with significant innovative improvements over that time! However, the Stockman Pod Off Road Camper Trailer is a far more affordable trailer to not only buy, but also to tow, as the lightweight design incorporates a galvanised frame (with optional off-road suspension) utilising a recycled PET plastic tub & lockable lid! Other optional extras are water-tank, drawbar-storage, different tent arrangements, slide-out kitchen, racks, etc.
MrWombatty As a 4 x 4 enthusiast and about to be committed overlander/expeditioner, I agree with your point, so this is not a counterpoint but an extrapolated comment...There are many good trailers out there, and some very good ones as well...However, as anyone who has traversed Austrailia, Africa, or the entirety of the US, only a very FEW trailers will do for unlimited overlanding...The Bruder EXP6 is one of the few...It has almost bulletproof chassis, suspension and overall build...Imagine having to have a trailer that could go to all the places a that only a Toyota LC or Defender or Hilux could go...It would have to be a phenomenal piece of machinery...Affording the Bruder, well, that's another post to say the least....But German engineered, hand-built in Australia and tested in the harshest Australian terrain make it unmatched in its offroad capabilities.

I like the second place one. We have a 17 ft 2015 hideout trailer. We converted the queen bed to 2 twins ( I shortened the first twin bed so it would not be in the way when you enter trailer) We have sway bars, distribution bars, and electric jack, inverter with its own battery, and generator with built in inverter solar power panels. This is our first trailer, we use to tent, I hated it, I am not a fan of fifth wheel, as did not want to put holes in truck and loose that space too. Not a fan of too long as hard to get places, don't want a tow vehicle. If and when we pick our forever trailer, I am torn between airstream and a 25ft with one slide. My only complaint is set up and take down, and it is not a tent. We just got back from a 4 night trip to Maine, and had a great time, seems to be a lot of red ants, so we have those ant baits. And I clean a lot. Water pressure is not good, working on that. Well, that is my camping story, and I loved your video of compact tent trailers. Because, compact, means less gas use.
I in love with the conqueror uev 490 it's a beast the suspension is kick ass and it's the perfect size for going off the grid. I'm sold to me this one is number off road trailer for people going off the grid . Your number pick ok but I think it's too big.

I’ve seen your number 10 up close and personal and I don’t quite see what you obviously saw in it. I’d say at a base price of 53K it’s only about 18-20K (on the low side) overpriced. But hey for an aluminum box with a pop up tent and you have way more money than good sense I guess it’s a bargain! Interesting fun and informative video for the outdoor enthusiast.

Prepperjon I absolutely agree! These companies are way to proud of there little trailers where you could buy a Tiny House with so much more for those prices easily.
A couple of things to keep in mind here...A few of these travel trailers were designed not for the rich, but for those who are committed overlanders/expeditioniers...If you are looking to travel the entirety of the US, Africa or Australia (or all), most (99%) of available trailers simply won't do...A lot of terrain would eat a Starcraft in very short order...We're talking about taking a trailer that requires a SERIOUS 4 x 4 rig to get to, hence, you must have an extreme trailer to make it...Those trailers are for a very particular crowd of whom many don't own homes but are traveling the majority of the year...We all spend our money somewhere or another.
