That table came out so well Steve. My mum owned a small side table that got left outside in all weather's for a year or two while she was being treated for cancer. After her passing I remembered that she had recycled the table from a second hand shop many years previous and that she had been very proud of the result. So I took the table home and using pebble tiles, I renewed it. I painted the metal parts black and cut up the pebble tiles and grouted them onto the table top and it came out so, so well. I still have that table and it needs a little attention again as I've had it for 20 yrs now, so I think sea glass might be it's new look. Thanks for the inspiration Steve. Your table came out beautifully. Have a great week!
Wow! Steve, you are amazing! I made the mistake of using old dishes for a table mosaic - the thickness of the different pieces makes it uneven and dumb. Once I started and saw how uneven it was I should have stopped! But I didn’t! Oh, also, you can put molding around the edges - it can be glued on using Liquid Nails. And I’m sure there’s a molding size that would fit perfectly. Thank you for sharing!
I did a night class years ago in mosaics and a class in stained glass. I absolutely loved it but haven't done it in years. This has totally inspired me to give it another go. Thank you Steve! It's beautiful. I love the contrast between the irregular and and the smaller symmetrical pieces! ❤
The table looks like a lot of fun! I must admit that I got distracted by the Shadow Vessel on your chest! So nice to see another Babylon 5 fan out there crafting too.
Nice project - looks great. 👍
Thank you. I’m going to look for more of these types of things that I can upcycle at virtually no cost as it’s great fun.
Oh I love this
Thank you it was so enjoyable todo as well.
This is a beautiful table!❤😊❤ And I loved the Shadow on your shirt. (Should we be afraid?😅)
