    Give the container “a bit of a burp”. Excellent 😂 Burpy Wurpy?

    I used the silica sand to dry roses from my grandmother's funeral. Put them in a crystal shaped resin mold and then gave them to family members. Worked really well

    Like you I have tried different ways to dry but, have to say that I prefer the silica method every time xx

    I use an old fashioned flower press I got at a car boot sale and a massive heavy book, works great. I did buy a small microwave flower press but got fed up having to keep putting it on then checking on it then putting it back in the microwave. An iron works great too with the flowers between layers of greaseproof paper

    I put flowers in the silica sand same as you did Steve, then pop the container in the microwave. Flowers come out beautiful. Google it.

    Very very informative! I am now going in my garden tonight! I dont mind the flatter flowers. Im fact they work out better in the types of projects I do. However now youve given me inspiration on what to do with the deep and fluffy flowers!

    I collect all the silica packets that come in a variety of items. Place them in the bottom of a container, put the flowers in and leave them. Doesn't cost me anything extra.

    😂 I can't grow a thing so no way can I try drying them. I agree with your experiment though. The flowers look better when put in the sand. ✌️❤️🤣 peace, love and happiness

    I’ve used silica and the microfleur.

    I think it depends on what you will be doing with the flowers as to which method is best. They turn out the prettiest in the silica. Those really are beautiful!

    I wonder what would happen if you put the silica sand and fresh flowers in the curing machine. 🤔

    HI! *Thanks!* Wondered if you'd tried *hanging Flowers Upside Down in drier* after seeing you use Drier's platform holes? The may not lose shape. *Cheers!*
    I know Gel works, should be embarrassed, forgot about silica gel in Tin, from Years ago.
    Arrangement made came in handy for Wrens, seeing them fly in & out of room, (door left open) i realized they were using dried Flowers to build nest. lol i was Honored. : }

    Have you tried the microwave flower press? I've heard it's great but I usually hang dry mine

    Hi Steve, Do you think a dehydrator would work? I usually press mine with the Micro press or in books. I will have to try the crystals again.

    I use Wisedry. Did you know you can use Wisedry in the microwave? Get a rose completely dry in a matter of minutes.

      @@bernadettelawson2916 I can't find the instruction booklet that came with it right now, but basically put the flowers in the silica gel sand just live Steve showed, but make sure it's in a microwaveable dish. Do not cover the dish. Put another small dish with water in the microwave with the sand (not in it). Set the intensity to 50% and microwave. Depending on the type of flower depends on how long. I wish I could find my booklet, because then I could tell you exactly.

    Speedy way is to press in the microwave. I hope I never need mine that way all the time, I love dimensional flowers.
