+nFlames2 - we have applied our Abradable Powder Coatings™ to heavily scored pistons and it has worked very well. It won't fill in the scored areas entirely, but since we can apply up to .015" diametric thickness (.0075" per side) it will definitely help the piston fit tight in the bore again.
They should have had you guys pre-treat that big drill thing that got stuck under Seattle!
