#forklift #howtodrive #operate
Here after lying on a resume, wish me luck!
Edit: to those asking, I didn’t get the job because the position closed before I could interview. Got a better job now though, no forklifts involved. Good luck to anyone else trying to fake it til you make it though. Speaking from experience when I say sometimes it pays off…
Lol,😂..Good luck bro
Me too
start my new job tomorrow after lying as well on a resume
SAAAAME🤣🤣🤣
Same lol we got this
Best basic forklift operating training video i've come across so far. In terms of getting a general idea, it was very helpful to someone with no forklift experience who wanted a quick run through.
Yeah it gives me a little confidence before I start getting trained
@@supernothing77Same here
Yeah it has given a little confidence to operate the machine
AFTER FOUR YEARS OF POSTING THIS VIDEO I WATCHED THIS VIDEO AND IT WAS SO HELPFUL. YOU ARE REALLY A GOOD TEACHER. THIS VIDEO IS THE BEST ON LEARNING HOW TO MOVE A FORKLIFT. THANK YOU.
Finally a video that actually shows how to operate it instead of the other crap videos showing walk around check
😂🤣
Ok then, what if you make a mistake?
Exactly what I was gunna say
Thank you for the tips buddy
Shakin hands with danger
Straight to the point and easy to understand not some stupid videos around. I just got refreshed.
Thank you for the short and succinct training, I felt like I was there on the operator's seat during the explanation. It was really helpful. All the best!
This was a very FAST & EASY to understand video, I wish everyone gave tutorials like this. Not a single unnecessary sentence throughout; awesome video!
Thanks for the upload. I literally just learned how to operate a forklift in a matter of 5 min... Welp of to my interview now ✌️.
@Brian Ugalde I'm guessing he got the job. Then he operated a forklift for the first time on the job. But now he can't answer your question ☠😱😥
😆😆
Same thanks for uploading cause there not much videos this will help me a lot This Monday while I’m doing my training so I can work🙏🏻
@Brian Ugalde I got the interview in the morning . I think I got it though wish me luck
My Husband got his forklift
Certificate. I am sooooo proud of him...😊 Bigggg Upppp!!! Yuhself baby Wayyyyy Up
This guy is a Genius. This video looks like just yesterday. Your practical teachings are always on point. Thanks for the enlightenment
The left pedal is dual purpose, depressing it while use the accelerator will transfer power to the forks.
Thank you for the explanation as it was not explained in the video and I watched the video to find out what that pedal did
If you press the left pedal automaticly works as break and neutralize the transmission, so you don't need to touch the transmission, and you keep the forklift stoped while you can accelerate so the forks go up fast, that's what i learn in school.
has this pedal ever malfunctioned to where it didn't neutralize the transmission and then the forklift moved forward into the rack/pallet when trying to raise the forks?
You're right. I made the same comment
This is a good review. Im gonna train on a forklift tomorrow and I wanted a quick idea of how a forklift works first. Thanks!
So far best video I’ve seen about how to use a forklift. After watching this I’m confident I will pass my test. Very informative and I like how you showed the different angels ! 😃
You explanied it all so smoothly bro.i literally feel like ready to operate a FL in a matter of these few minutes.Great work👌
You dreaming. He forget to tell you the steering is at the back not front
@@cmale123 he said that in start of the video
some forklifts have auto fork with adjust. and some even get tilting forks that can tilt to tip out barrels and cans. those are usually used in scrap yards
This is the best forklift tutorial on TH-cam. Other ones I saw goes way overboard with the safety stuff that's obvious.
We have a somewhat older version of this model, a bit bigger (11,500) and boxier with the monotrol pedal. Makes shifting direction so nice. It's a great hilo. Hyster really knows how to build good stuff.
Damn I thought this was an old one
Just applied at a factory told them I have 5 years of experience....hope this 5 minutes is enough..
😂😂😂 ME 2
@@manny6924 it worked!
@@tyleranderson9189was this video helpful DOD you get to stay at your job? I lied saying I had 3 years and im watching this 😂
Ongggg
Same hir😂
thanks alot this really helps when you havent worked on forklift for a while refreshes the memory
Spotlight,
Nifty. i don’t think i noticed em on even a backhoe, but never tried
I'm going to have a forklift training course in a month and this video really helps, thank you.
Good luck
Great Basic Lesson to All Forklifters. Thank you soo much
ya, I agree this video is very helpful! its been a while since I drove one of these and I finally got a job interview tomorrow morning and this helped a lot ! Thanks for making a good video lol
Hell yea man just got hired on a job that does a lot of fork lifting and this as givinn me all the confidence to master that machine!
Thanks for the tips
I have question, how many hours or how much time I need practice before been able to operate one correctly
Years if you want to be good.
I have never even sat on one, but after watching this, I really believe I'm ready to apply to a forklift operator job.😂 WOW So simple and excellent explanation. Thanks.
Different perspectives of operating FL is an excellent teaching practice.
Very informative video, adding the footwork is critical. The exterior angle shots were also very helpful!
After watching this video, I can boldly say that I’m a certified forklift operator 🤝🔥
Got straight to the point loved this video thanks man👍
Thank you sir for the video and the angles for better understanding.
Alright thank u so much this helps me today to learn the basics bcuz I will for sure start tomorrow n I don't have no experience driving a forklift
This was truly the best tutorial on a forklift. Going to get certified and hopefully a job. 👍🏻
I give you a 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ you are a good instructor
Two brake pedals, not just for braking. One is probably what is called an "Inching Pedal" used to disengage the engine from the transmission, like a clutch, so you can increase engine speed to raise the forks without having to fight against the transmission trying to make the forklift move. Not all forklifts have this but if it has three pedals, and one is not a clutch pedal then it is most likely an Inching pedal.
You can also hold the far left break while hitting the gas to raise your forks faster.
What is the pratical use for the tilt? When should i use tilt?
You might literally be saving my life.if I can play this off on Monday I think I owe you my first few pay checks lol.
There more to forklift. You steering wheel is the back and your steering is more sensitive on forklift. I doubt you get the job
How did it go fam?
Well lol got the certificate. They could tell i was bullshitting tho. Lol kind of laughed it off and I had a somewhat understanding of the controls from this video....I ended up being on an electric one tho lol everything is the same but no gas when ur using the forks and no neutral gear.
You don't have to put it in neutral in order to lifting the forks up high to put a pallet on a rack you can just use the middle break...right? And the second break peddle you can use it to raise the forks at a faster pace corret?
I have a job interview for a forklift position today I will be rusty because i haven't driven one in 5 year's or longer hopefully this video helps i haven't driven many gas powered forklifts like this before but I'm sure i will be tested on one of these today
Hopefully it's electric forklifts i prefer those a lot more
Nice video. I think THIS is exactly what we were all hoping to find in a video! Why two break pedals though?? Anyone know?
Hoping to get this new job. They said they’ll train me but I’m nervous lol.
How was the new job
Thanks mate, easiest explanation video I’ve ever watched 🤙🏽
Thank You Master ❤ Now i am a Forklift Driver 😊 Let me add it to my CV
Right off the bat you screwed up by leaving the forks in the air, a big no-no! Over 40 years of experience and also trained many people.
Why can’t yo do that I start this job soon.. and also if I pick up a really heavy load will I fall over? Thanks In advance
Trip hazard my guess
Definitely trip hazard. And it won’t tip over if it’s under the weight limit and or the load is on the forks properly ie the center of mass of load isn’t on the end of the forks. Been on forklifts for 4 years now, and certified.
@@DchaseCho If you do not want to trip or get stabbed in the ribs or take off somebody's head when they are not paying attention while walking or accidentally dropping them onto someone or their feet....
You have to remember, these are blunt, but still metal. They are still powerful enough to hurt you or somebody else from the weight or from jutting out. Think about it this way. Why do you not want random objects sticking out into a walkway or road? People can get hurt, damage can be caused.
Great video, very thorough! Can the tills move independently ever? I’m looking to add this to my resume, are there positions that train you on the job?
I drove a forklift for 41 years and I could pick up a dime off the floor. That's awesome trick and I loved drinking my truck. I told the plant manager at GM that I would pay him to play with his forklifts. It was the best job I ever had.
i see, you had a great time doing what you love for 41 yrs 😲 thats so much experience youve got for the world❤ can you be my coach🙊🤔
Good to keep reiterating NEUTRAL for operations....then AFTER forks are set....switching to drive. Q. Is it necessary when in NEUTRAL to have a foot on the brake? Don't think this is mentioned.
Wow that was some quick studies
I was waiting for u to mention …what is the pedal on the left for ?the third pedal what is it for?
I would have liked an explanation of the double break pedals
Best video I've seen for this.
you are a life saver brother
Thank you this helped me learn how to shoot a gun and shoot anything within a 20 meter radius
Thanks for this tutorial. I have forklift experience, but not a sit down forklift and I was worried. This video makes it seem pretty easy! The only other thing I’m worried about is changing the propane tank!
changing the lp tank is super easy. ive done it on our hyster 50 at work
If you don't mind me asking, mate, what year is that forklift? I'm just curious. I really like this one!
I got hired on, and though I never explicitly said I could drive a forklift, I said i can drive anything with an engine. everyone there was suprised when I said I had "very little experience, and only drove a forklift for scrapping" which isn't untrue, I had a solid 6 hours of experience 😂 I get forklift trained tomorrow. Hope I pick it up quickly! Thanks
Damn I learned that quick 😂
Forks off the ground during intro and outro. Forks should always be on the ground when forklift is stationary.
Yea with forks touching the ground and tilted back slightly
@@subaru721 Actually forks should should be flat on ground . Tilted back is a tripping hazard.
@@Statimtek sorry tilted forward slightly the toe of the fork touching the ground
@@subaru721 😀
@@subaru721 Actually, a little forward.
2:10 my ex playing with the life button when she finds me on life support after she hit me her car
While driving with or without load, how high shall be the forks above the ground level.?
Thanks. You just saved my job. Because I definitely half way lied to the boss before he came pick me up
Hey buddy, thank you i have learnt great ideas about the forklift driving..Uganda
Best ForkLift video I came across straight to the point and understanding💯
Great 👍 vid, very helpful, thanks.
Got a great demonstration wish me luck 🤞🏾😁
Thanks brother.
good video but where is the drivers hi visibility vest and safety beacon on the forklift and paperwork for safety check
Forks off of the ground, in a lot of workplaces that is an immediate write up for safety.
Saw that, too.
I thought the same
So what about the signals?
Thank you....however, I didn't hear you talk about fastening the safety belt....
Thank you
You saving lives bro! I lied on my resume and they actually called me back!! I gotta learn fast💀💀
Good luck bro 🎉 I did the same thing 😂
Facts I was nervous as hell now I'm good
@@tito-cleveland50howd it go? I lied on my resume and now they wanna see me next week 😂
@@tito-cleveland50did they train u
@@Anarchyky yea at my job its a 120 day training period, the first day I ran into a Ditch got stuck lol, the second day I caught on quick, it's 3 months later it's easy as hell, you'll catch on watch
Thanks🎉
Thanks for sharing very helpful information looking forward to work as Forklift oprator
Everything in this video is perfect just 1 small pointer tho the 2 brake isn’t actually 2 brakes one is more of a clutch and the other is the brake but this was a great vid
Excellent..way i got it sir..
So simple I'm doing my forklift license but what he didn't do was make sure you look over your shoulders when ready to reverse
Thanks mate! Cheers!
What exactly would be included in this "nothing crazy" category?
Never driven a gas forklift, just electric tow motors. I liked it, but I played it at 0.75 speed. You know your stuff.
I found it enjoyable
Great video... at the very end, be sure to park it with the forks down... I know he was still using it :)
do you always have to use the gas pedal when raising the forks? Seems dangerous if you forget to put the forklift in N beforehand and then the gas pedal when raising the forks. I am starting a forklift operator job and will have to pass a racking test first. It's been many years since I operated a gas forklift, but when I did it was pretty easy.
hold the far brake
Boy your energy is fire, great vid.
Jah Son Too much coke
@@justinr2564 Haha!
@@justinr2564 Cola or powder? 0.75 speed
Bro you did a great job but please I need to know about the lighting system can you please do a video about that too
Thinks dude, very helpful indeed
Excellent instructions. Nice job. 🍺🍀
Very easy, but why two brake pedals??
How you do inspections?
Yea I was thinking the same thing he didn't do a pre operational inspection
Very heplful video and clearly taught! 👍 nice one!
Here after I’m 13 not forklift certified and my dad wants me to transport 2 1/2 ton pallets inside of his works shop I have some experience just moving 100+ pound pallets but idk why he wants me to transport 2 pallets stacked
This has really been too helpful. other videos were scrap
Thanks for helping
I just got certified on Friday the 13th
Some guys wife can't unload a truck. I said i could.
Here before the lawsuit 😂
You made this very easy
Great and thanks buddy
Nice one
