Why are you so suprised ? Alfa dont have problems since the early 90s... Oh i forgot that the US didnt have ones like 166 and 156. If thats where you are from. And stuff like the 147 159 brera are amazing and very good in quality. My car is a 156 V6 and its amazing. Even though its 17 years old.
Motor trend put it head to head against everything in its class, including the M3 performance package. It beat them all out on the track. Check the vid.
Not saying it's not an incredible car, but I wouldn't base your opinions solely from motor trend. Most of the "winning" brands are actually just the highest bidder.
I'm an alfaholic who wanted to thank you for sharing a little history on alfa. Few people know Enzo raced for alfa, even fewer know what the clover is about. Awesome man.
Exterior wise yes it looks way better than the c63. Interior wise c63 looks way better. And sound v8 over v6 anyday so c63 sounds way better. The alfa is more agile and handles better however. There is also the fact that one is significantly more reliable than the other and also comes as a coupe, cabriolet and wagon. So it really does depend on your preferences. One is more sporty in the sense of a gt car and the other is more sporty in the sense of a track sports car.
No Chill Nick sorry dude. V8 rumble trumps v6 sound anyday of the week. Its not even a comparison. V8 is leagues above a v6 when it comes to sound. Don't get me wrong the v6 of the alfa sounds great but it can't touch and has nothing on the sound of a grumbling v8.
The gift of metal paddle shifters is so under appreciated. It feels so nice in the hand. Especially like the paddles on this beautiful Italian sport sedan.

Alfa Romeo 75 3.0 V6 America ... The really first car I felt in love with ... and the 155, and the 159. Then I grew up and somehow I became a Mercedes fan but still loving Alfa's because the first love you can't forget. I'm afraid that the Giulia is such a great car that will not be cheap even over 15 years ... Great review Parker. Sweet sound Giuly ;)
QF had/has errors in engine software. There are many known cases of fatal errors when even Alfas engineers could not figure out what was the problem. Thats why they depreciate like mofos. Except that QF is tremendous car!
We had an engine error too and it was caused by a defect oil pressure sensor. Moreover some panel gaps had to be adjusted, but otherwise we didn‘t have too much problems on the 23000km we own it.
hold up the interior is not cheap and dont even look cheap you would know this if you had one and i do and the leather stock seats are amazing they hold you in place and you also have some carbin intirioirin the inside and one of the best intertainment systems on the marker thats something alpha dont have and we also get kentara leather on the stearing wheel and my intirior is all white and looks amazing
Kc the e90 m3 always my favorite M even though I daily a c63 (fit what I needed and wanted more.so than the m3) I have to admit its easily a car I would want to own as well as.my current ones. That being said I did test out the new m3 and i thought it wasn't even close to being as bad as the general M fanatics were saying. I mean the car is an absolute beast and the looks are just killer. The e90 has those lasting looks and i think the new m3 does as well. Will still look good 10 years from now. The motor was extremely peaky though which threw me off guard. Boost comes in like a tidal wave lol. I thought it was a pretty badass car 100% didnt really see why all the hate but I do understand the difference between n/a and a turbo concerning overall feel. It is without a doubt a completely different car/experiecne than the e90.
Jose Alejandro the interior is hella cheap. Everything you just mentioned should be standard on all luxury cars. Put the c63 and M4/M3 interiors next to each other and you will see how regular and cheap the M3 interior is. It’s not even worth the asking price. Even the Audi S4/S5 has a better interior with the virtual cockpit. I used to be a big bmw fan but lately they’ve lost me. And they don’t even put much thought in their designs anymore. The new 5 series is basically the same design as the outgoing model, the same with the 7 series. All they do is connect the headlights to the grille and call it a new generation smh
Kc I loved when they had the m3 from like 2008 I believe. With the v8 but it had a little bit more updates with the exterior to make it look more modern. I do believe that it was getting heavy but I loved it then. Porsche tried to do that shit with the Cayenne turbo and gts...finally glad they dismissed those downgrades in 2018. That was a close one! Have you also heard the new raptor? It has a v6 in it. Yuck

Kostas : I own one of the first to be sold in Germany. I have been waiting for it since i`ve read about its coming and changed my previous Maserati Ghibli for it. No regret whatsoever! I´ve also owned lots of BMWs, including an M 635 Csi and a V8 535 i. The giulia comes from another universe. Its got much more character. The interior plastics could be a bit better, but noone buys a performance car for its plastics or for the size of its back camera. I would like to point out its fuel cosumption : 12.8 Lt /100 Km is outstanding from a 505 BHP car.
What you might not know, the Giulia has no ordinary break system like every other car, it has got a digital break pedal in combination with a pump that produces more an faster pressure than a normal system. That results in a faster reacting break, shorter stopping distance and always the same feel in the breaking pedal.
I like these because they hold their own, look decent and are rare. I have only seen 1 of them in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area where you typically see 20 M3's and 15 C63's on a regular basis a day.

I was at a car show and saw this version and the v4 turbo which was 44,000 but I sat in both and the paddles on this car are better then any I have ever felt/used. This company is so slept on but they build amazing cars!

Owned many Alfa's over the years, & now as a family we have 3 Alfa's, the Giulia QV/ a Stelvio with the 2Litre turbo 280bhp engine, & we a Giulietta QV 240bhp my son's car. All been fine no problems at all
The nice exhaust note has to be because of its Italian heritage. I own an Abarth 500. It's a little 1.4L turbocharged 4-cylinder, but it sounds SO GOOD! Strangers come up to me all of the time to ask me what kind of car it is and if I did any modifications to make it sound that good. My car is completely stock :D
I own a Guilia q4 it’s absolutely amazing. The only thing I’d recommend Alfa changing about the Quadrifoglio is more interior options and the ability to have a panoramic sun roof, instead of just the carbon fiber roof.

Good video, Parker. I've been checking out the Giulia QV for the past few months, umming and ahhing over whether to buy it or a Porsche. Yours is the first video that went into enough detail on the cloverleaf background. Everyone else's has just been "it's there cos it's cool".
Everyone always makes fun of the M3's noise and praises the Alfa, but the two cars sound very similar. In a blind test it's honestly hard to discern the two from each other...

It's because, a long time ago an alfa driver put a "quadrifoglio" on his car because it was supposed to be a Lucky charm, and it did its job, because the driver won his first race, and still now the quadrifoglio means victory in the alfa world

The maintenance is BRUTAL, bro. It’ll spend major time with the dealership for the first six months. So no. It isn’t as good as their German rivals. Aesthetically, it’s beautiful and the mechanical potential is incredible but in reality, not so much. Buy it but keep the M3 too so you have something to drive while the Giulia is in the shop.
It might create issues but it's worth it, looks better sounds better it is better in every aspect than a the German rivals, m3 has sort of lost it's charm, E92 was a blast this one isn't that good. I'd take the M2 over an and just upgrade to the power of M3 with a few modifications.
This is the video that finally made me subscribe ! Alfas really do have something to them and reviewers don't ordeneraly experience it usually due to not having enough time with the cars.
As an owner of a Giulia Quadrifoglio myself, after 10 months and 8,000 miles, I can confirm that it has had 0 maintenance issues, whatsoever

Thats not uncommon mark tu. I use to own an E46 M3 and every 30k miles I had to do a $3k maintenance on it.

I was at a car show and saw this version and the v4 turbo which was 44,000 but I sat in both and the paddles on this car are better then any I have ever felt/used. This company is so slept on but they build amazing cars!

And if you have a baseline car just tick the m performance or amg kit and there it looks same like the true m or amg
Ahmed Moosaji they are good looking. I will say the guilia looks a lot better but that doesn't take away from how good looking the c63 and m3 are.
Owned many Alfa's over the years, & now as a family we have 3 Alfa's, the Giulia QV/ a Stelvio with the 2Litre turbo 280bhp engine, & we a Giulietta QV 240bhp my son's car. All been fine no problems at all

The nice exhaust note has to be because of its Italian heritage. I own an Abarth 500. It's a little 1.4L turbocharged 4-cylinder, but it sounds SO GOOD! Strangers come up to me all of the time to ask me what kind of car it is and if I did any modifications to make it sound that good. My car is completely stock :D

I own a Guilia q4 it’s absolutely amazing. The only thing I’d recommend Alfa changing about the Quadrifoglio is more interior options and the ability to have a panoramic sun roof, instead of just the carbon fiber roof.
Finally back to old shape after the bad quality of the last two reviews.

Good video, Parker. I've been checking out the Giulia QV for the past few months, umming and ahhing over whether to buy it or a Porsche. Yours is the first video that went into enough detail on the cloverleaf background. Everyone else's has just been "it's there cos it's cool".

It's because, a long time ago an alfa driver put a "quadrifoglio" on his car because it was supposed to be a Lucky charm, and it did its job, because the driver won his first race, and still now the quadrifoglio means victory in the alfa world

The maintenance is BRUTAL, bro. It’ll spend major time with the dealership for the first six months. So no. It isn’t as good as their German rivals. Aesthetically, it’s beautiful and the mechanical potential is incredible but in reality, not so much. Buy it but keep the M3 too so you have something to drive while the Giulia is in the shop.
It might create issues but it's worth it, looks better sounds better it is better in every aspect than a the German rivals, m3 has sort of lost it's charm, E92 was a blast this one isn't that good. I'd take the M2 over an and just upgrade to the power of M3 with a few modifications.
Amazingly, they are just as reliable as the germans. You can do the review with the official statistics yourself
As an owner of a Giulia Quadrifoglio myself, after 10 months and 8,000 miles, I can confirm that it has had 0 maintenance issues, whatsoever
