Mate, that was great. I have one in the box ready to be installed by me on a non-standard canopy. Seeing how it is attached was priceless. Seeing the hinge open, takes up another 150mm over the width taken-up when closed. That is important when installing an awning as well. Full thumbs-up!
Hi Mate. I just brought this tent on special. I used some thin, soft rubber gym mats under the matrass provided. I also insolated the plastic shell with 10mm foil back soft foam. I have to say, for the money, it's a dam good tent. I really can't fault it and have slept very well in it. Time will tell how long it last I guess.
I have one of these and l did not pay that much for it l also have a blow up matres that auto inflates when power is fitted to it and it can stay in the tent when it is all packed up .I would like to say thank you for showing me the things l did not know about and the top had a fly screen that you can have closed at night and see the stars at night . Chris from Vic and l would like to say at this point about the staff are very caring about you in the shop in Dandinong the weight is 75 kg and lm so looking forward to staying in it most week ends
Has anyone fitted this exact model tent to a kings tub rack ? If so which way does the ladder ment to face ? As the brackets only seem to work one way. Cheers
while l have been travelling l have notice the screws in the lock downs fall out so watch out for them . as l have it on my trailer it is heavy but at night l find that lm sleeping across the axle the nights l have slept in it the temp was minus 2 degrees and l was nice and warm in that tent and there was condensation on the inside like every tent has in the morning , it did rain over night and l did not get wet in side the tent , it took my queens size blow up Lilo with out any troubles . I hope any one that is going to get a kings camper X will enjoy it as much as l did
Yeah, I looked at one a few weeks ago. I was actually dumbfounded by the thickness of the mattress, and because it's their new model, you would think the quality of the mattress would be much better!!! The Kings Roof Top Tent Mattress, is much better in my opinion. Maybe buy a Mattress Topper, that might eliminate the problem. It is pretty expensive though, especially compared to the Kings Roof Top Tent. Going to go down next week and have another look!!!
I decided not to. Not because they're not a good price but they just don't suit my needs. I'm a fussy sleeper and I'm pretty lazy so I'd need a comfortable mattress but that means I'd have to pull it out to pack it away and also make the bed. I'll look for something a bit larger for my family.
@@the_curry_cruiser I got one. Was on sale for about $1520 with lights. Set it up in my backyard. Pretty easy set up and good size. The mattress is firm so I'll get some memory foam. Im planning a trip to the Cape so see how it goes up there! Cheers
See them thumb tacks in the roof. We had a young child choke and die from one falling from the hood lining in the car they were travelling in. They were a local family. I notice you have a child seat. Just be careful
Wow I really appreciate you telling me that! That is something very dangerous. Fortunately I don't have that vehicle anymore. I feel sorry for the family that lost a young one to something so simple!
Yeah I corrected myself at the intro saying I was actually just doing a walkthrough. I was under the assumption it would have had a clear roof but obviously not. That was my whole intention for making this video so people know what the tent looks like as there is very limited information on the supercenter website.
Cheers for this video saved me the drive to see it for myself in person looks like a chunk of materials put togeather for a bad night sleep and a whole lot of money thrown away would stick to the swag then to buy this model rooftop

Hey mate. What brand is the mattress. Sounds great. Is there any provision to run power through the shell ? Cheers.
Good insight 👍🏾 What did you pay if you don't mind me asking?

@@shanea9613 what sort of mattress did you put in it and what thickness all up thanks
@@kyliewilson7578 kept the original and added some high density foam Matt's I think they are about 10mm. From Bunnings.... Better than stock
We just put our queen self inflating mattress in ours with pillows and have heaps of room and super comfortable.
It is a copy of the arb Esperance I bought a few years back
Thanks for the insight. That is very interesting. The mattress alone was a pass for me. I consider it if I could for the tent with an added mattress
