    Thankyou for the update
    Your original review convinced us to get one last Christmas , [thanks] was 1850 on special.
    It's not a cheap made RTT, possibly the best quality one on the market, equal to any of the expensive ones.
    Fyi, we also have the kings 270 awning, and attached it to the RTT with kings new stainless 270 awning brackets, no problem and can use the 270 awning and the tent at the same time, all the poles fit fine.
    Best part about the kings RTT is having all the windows open in the rain with the tent awning setup and watching the rain outside without getting wet, that's cool.
    I also cannot fault it, very happy with our purchase.
    The ladder is also the best on the market I think.
    No I don't work for kings just pleased with my RTT..

    Ive been plating around witt building a canopy camper ... I couldnt resist the Kings RTT at $1700.. Ive just gotten to the point of discovery. I have an Ironman 270 and need to get brackets made to fit it.. Tried the kings brackets which will be good for the shower tent.. your set up has given me some solid ideas to work with. I bought a good mattress for the canopy before I bought the RTT so. my idea is to remove the RTT mattress and replace it asit will only ever be me in there and I like the idea of a little hard space to store more crap which I want but probably do not need haha.

    Good review mate. Some shade cloth under the mattress will be helpful.

    Hey mate, I have the mark 2 version of this tent. for the condensation issue under the mattress, I just got a piece of rubber cut at a local rubber shop. The rubber that has holes all through it. And laid it underneath the mat. Seems to do the trick

  • @rogerwaight1028
    @rogerwaight1028 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    hi mate great review. The condensation will get into any aluminum structure, that's why you get water in aluminum fuel tanks and contaminates the fuel. I think it is unavoidable especially with high humidity.

      Gday roger thanks mate thanks for your reply i had a camper trailer where the contestation was terrible where the walls inside were saturated but the clam shell is awesome the floor under the mattress is the only place i get it i have sorted it with a contestation mat but after i use it i air it out for piece of mind 👍🏼

    Thanks for the review. After watching your first vid I purchased one and love it. I also have the Bushwakka 270 and mounted to the Tent via Kings bracket. It sits low enough so I can use the awning, tent fly and enter from the left side. Love the set-up. Thanks for the recommendation.

    Hey bloke, nice review. Kings now sell an anti condensation mat for about $99. Also, you can make a bracket to attach to the side of the tent to raise the bracket above the awning that the spring rod sit In. Cheers :)

    Great Review - very hard to justify paying 4-6000 for a rooftop tent that doesn’t do anything this one does . Only wish they did it in Army Green - personal preference

    Great review there mate, thanks a lot for that!
    For the issue of the canvas not folding in properly with the topper on, my thought was what if you tied a knot in the bungy cord so it pulled the material in a little harder… Or perhaps trimmed the topper so it was slightly smaller than the mattress, which would give more room for the canvas to fold in…
    I might have to grab one when they go on sale and I have some cash

      Gday mate i did tie a knot on my bungie cord probably helped a little and with the mattress topper it makes no difference if you take it out the issue im getting with it now is water getting in from on top im about to sticker flex it all to stop the water getting in if that fails i will probably go back to using my swag i love the big daddy swag dont get me wrong i love the kings roof top tent and you get what you pay for im happy to keep patching it up to make it work i will do another review on the latest issues and thanks for watching my vid 🍻

      @@goldcoastdronevision I was starting to think of buying one after some good reviews like your video, but that’s not ideal at all… Hopefully it’s not a problem they all get, but considering leaking has been the issue for all these from Kings, perhaps it is

      After 12 months of owning it has been great for the money you get what you pay for i recon with a bit extra stickerflex it shouldnt leak i noticed thay are a bit skimp with the sealant the rubbers seem to do a good job but i would say once i have gone over it with the sticker flex and with further inspection if i have fixed the problem i would still thing its an awesome product for the money and to me its a minor problem if you monitor it im yet to do my final review video and i will determine if i write this thing off but for now theres still hope its an easy fix hope that helps

    Hi Dan, thanks for the video mate. I just bought the Grand Tourer this weekend and got it all fitted up. Condensation will form on any smooth surface where there is humidity and a temperature difference. I thought maybe I will use spray adhesive and glue marine felt to the bottom surface to prevent this? Also good to know about the mattress topper situation as I don’t have the best back for sleeping on thin mattresses. Maybe I will replace original with a self inflating mattress.
    Also did you run permanent 12v power into your RTT? Cheers mate

    • @goldcoastdronevision
      @goldcoastdronevision  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Gday mate thanks for checking out my vid go into spotlight they have a few different mattress toppers at an affordable price and what a big difference to sleep on as the mk3's mattress on its own is a bit to hard for my liking and 12 v power ive been asked about it a few times now ill make another vid on how i set mine up and all i do is i have a cable made up i feed through the slot on the mk3 and plug into my canopy 12v power setup hope my answers have helped if you want to know anything else just flick me a message im happy to help out 🍻

    Hi Do you think it would be a good idea to leave the black mattress under lay out and put in one of those under lay with holes that allows air circulation.?

    • @goldcoastdronevision
      @goldcoastdronevision  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I personally would leave the black cloth because it would stop any moisture getting into your mattress it will trap it than your mattress underlay has that chance of not getting any moisture getting past it and it seems to work great for me so have both and when you get the chance it wouldnt hurt to pull everything out to dry out 🤙

      @@goldcoastdronevision it does actually work with a 270 awning. The tent has 3 entry points. One at the back and one each side. The ladder has a stand off setup at the top so it would clear your canopy
