Eventually the USB will be write protected mainly because USBs have a finite number of write cycles.

In my case everything worked besides the format Fat32 command, the reason being i was using a 256GB drive which uses exFat due to its larger size.

Fixed it. replying as this may help others, my USB default format is exFat not Fat32 so one I changed this in "fs=fat32 to fs=exFAT" it worked. Check what your USB default format is.

Hi, a quick question, is this true, when you make a partition with a usb, you then can take out your usb and still use your partition which should be on screen? Or if you remove your usb, then your partition also is removed? If so, why do so many people have lots of partitions on screen?

If you remove the USB, the partitions are ejected too. People have many partitions because they partition their internal drive not a USB.

I had this one drive with the size equal to 2TB. Its not a movable hard disk but a normal pen drive with unusual size. I followed your steps and its worked perfectly fine until I try to format the drive:
"format fs=fat32 quick"
However, format can't be executed because my drive is just way too big. It said this...
"Virtual Disk Service error:
The volume size is too big"
What should I do?
Edit: Thank you for the tutorial. I figured it out myself that I just have to format my drive. Luckily I don't really have important documents or anything inside the drive.

same here. but you can just use the standard formatting option on windows by right clicking the drive if you've done everything right up to this point

Do this will erase everything. You would need to save your files first before this process.
