  • No doubt you should always take your car to a reliable mechanic to check it out for you. But that still cost money, so you need to be absolutely convinced the car is worth it anyway. In here you'll find everything you need to build up a strong CaseFile around any car which is tempting.

    That car is a sled. That rust by the windshield is the worst, I would not touch this car with 5 feet pole. My guess it was hit on the driver side that is why the door is misaligned. I bet the door on driver side is repainted, look under the rubber seals for sign of over-spray. "they changed the engine but did not change the oil" WTF are you talking about? The car is burning oil, oil gets into cylinders and that is why it is probably so dirty. Remove one or two spark-plugs they prolly soaked in oil. What a sled.

      Have you ever removed the spark plugs on a cayenne? He’s not gonna bring his kit with him and start pulling plugs in front of the trader is he?

      hello ! its a simple warning light, to remind that there is something wrong, you have to check in the detail section to see what it is about, could be many thing, from low fuel to light bulb defect, suspension issues , engine issues, litteraly as soon as something is wrong the exclamation mark is there to remind you to check further

    This video is terrible. It has nothing to do with the cayenne. Way to go over the basics of buying ANY car.

      It does show "some" problem areas on the Cayenne, and I'll know what to focus on when looking at them.

    You have to be dumb to get a used cayenne it's a turd in a toxedo. Garbage. Buy yourself a Lexus suv. Problem free cars how come Lexus get it and Porsche do not?

    • @ShowCareMtlQc
      @ShowCareMtlQc  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The owner has something to do in the equation. Lexus are moslty driven gently, and care. Thats my theory. If you put a typical lexus driver in a porsche. I think you'll get a good car that will last long. maybe even longer than a lexus.

    How much is this type of unloved Cayenne?

    • @ShowCareMtlQc
      @ShowCareMtlQc  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      6000-9000 CAD$

      I wouldn't pay more than 3,000 for those rust issues. I'm looking at 2005 Cayenne Turbo to buy tomorrow for $9500 and it has 150,000 miles but the car is immaculate and already has most of the problem issues repaired previously... and maintenance performed by Porsche dealership.
      You can find much better cayennes than that rust-bucket for $4-5000.

    hello, i want to know from your experience with used cars, what car brands or models are build more properly, from interior and exterior prespective, who have most resistance to many miles and heavy usage... If you can divide in three main categories, sedan, suv and small cars... maybe you can make a video.
    You are helping us a lot in finding cars. Keep it up, wish you all the best.
    Elio

    • @ShowCareMtlQc
      @ShowCareMtlQc  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, good idea, i'll keep it in mind for future videos.
      Short answer would be, there are a lot of cars out there that can last long on both mileage and usage as long as they are maintained. And this is why Receipts are Gold when trying to sell/buy a car. Maintenance means Oil changes, Transmission oil change, Transfert case and differential oil change (4x4), Timing Belt if there is one. Keep in mind that if a car has a towing hitch, most likely it was used for towing stuff around. When towing, Transmission oil, Transfert case oil and differential oil must be replaced at a shorter interval.

      This is Canada lol, everything's rusted, there's almost no such thing as a 10 yr old car without a bunch of surface rust. We get a tonne of snow every year and most places use salt on the road.
