I have sizing balls on my engagement ring (I have very thin fingers with big knuckles) and they work great! I don't feel them either.

@@valentinaovalle6798 they feel a but weird at first but you quickly get used to it and dont notice them. They are comfortable to wear, unless you press against the thing for a long time.

Well, i don't really wear jewelry anymore, but back in the day, i wore a few gold rings, they stretched out a but not that much. Anyways, i got into a fight, and realized my rings bent a but, as in they weren't perfectly round but more oval, but they weren't lose anymore and I didn't even feel a difference, so i believe you can see them and it's comfortable.
I also, once, wore a ring that was too big and wrapped a piece of paper on the inside were it wouldn't be seen, and it was comfortable also.
I am a jeweler and my engagement ring has balls or beads. You can't feel them or see them when the ring is worn.
That is a seriously beautiful ring set right there. ❤
I wonder if this is what The Royal Family did to Duchess Catherine's Engagement Ring? They said that They put balls on it. I think it's pretty cool! My finger is the same way. Great Video!

Do you recommend the ring balls rather than the "speed bumps" on the inside for a female with a larger knuckle than finger? I am a 6.5 and I have trouble getting the ring over my knuckle, it took me awhile to get it off the other day and it's brand new. I saw the ring humps on the inside and the balls also, I just don't get how it works in all honesty cause it seems it's taking even more room from the inside of the ring lol. I forgot to mention, it is a bit loose on my finger too but of course not on the knuckle.
When torching it, the diamond or any other stones need to be inside water in a cap or something so you don't ruin them.

My store used to do work for Zales/Gordons and some of the other corps. We had to start calling them sizing beads because the women couldn't call them balls without laughing.

I think it has to do with the fact that the knuckle is larger than the finger, so shrinking the whole ring isn’t ideal. Also can be removed easily if there’s a need to size up again in the future.
@@msmiami212 Oh ok well that makes perfect sense!! I have seen some people (my mother in law for example) suffers with extremely large knuckles due to arthritis from working so many years. She doesnt normally wear rings because it takes so much to clear the knuckle but then once on its too large for her finger. Thank you now I know how to help her with this!!! 🙏💖

Balls on the inside of the ring is one of the worst options as a solution to this problem. I would recommend a butterfly spring inside of the ring or if the customer is okay with the cost making a hinged shank. Both are far more comfortable and work better for the same problem. But in worst case the balls do work just can be uncomfortable over time.
In the United States most people do not want to pay the money for the more expensive options. This is an inexpensive repair.

Isn’t there another way to keep a ring from spinning? My sister-in-law has a ring that is slightly square shaped on the bottom but the edges are rounded and very smooth.
My ring is shaped like that too but needs resizing and idk how they resize those

Why balls instead put double ring inside
I think the reason is she still needs the size for her knuckle to be able to slip over. The balls allow for that but still give stability. It's actually genius!
