If you think about it, King is basically the same as the King chess-piece.

King is honestly one of the most unique and genious superhero characters I have ever seen.
In an incredibly simple superhero world:
King, Saitama and Garou exist.
This show is carried so well by some really unique characters
The craziest part where King is staring down the 4 Executives is that these monsters would NEVER turn down the chance to attack anyone.
Evil natural water is very smart, but can't even speak, Homeless Emperor is absolutely insane and deluded, Black Sperm can throw any number of expendable bodies at King, and Psykos can read minds.
Hell, Psykos reads minds passively without really thinking about it at all and she REFUSES to even try to probe King's aura. That is an insane amount of mental abilities to mindfuck Psykos like that.

I mean, King does actually have a power, which is "ultimate luck." It was confirmed by ONE.
So basically, King is technically powerful enough to be on S Class because every time he goes near a monster or enemy, that monster or enemy will be killed, just not by him. I mean, the only one that survived was Tongue Stretcher, which I'm just guessing was because he begged for his life and stopped trying to kill King. If he continued trying, he would have been killed by another factor caused by King's luck.
So basically, if a god level threat comes, just have some drone fly King into it. Easy claps

Interestingly enough i was thinking about the same thing while watching the video. What if King's power created Saitama and broke his limiter? Especially since we already know Saitama is one of a kind and there's no record of anyone else breaking their limiter and this would make King's ability even more interesting since it gives him the power to change the Universe but only works best when he is an unwilling participant :) It is a fun premise!
I’m pretty sure that Saitama being the One Above All isn’t affected by metaphysical abilities (he can kinda break through them, e.g. Phoenix Man’s “space”). I’m pretty sure he just likes King anyway cause he’s just chill.
King also gave Saitama some good direct advice about his "boredom." Which hit Saitama just there. No one else have been able to do that.

King is also a kind of opposite of Saitama..... EVERYONE knows who King is, while secretly he has no strength or powers....meanwhile NOBODY knows who Saitama is, and he's the strongest of the heroes. Saitama doesn't even care really, while King would love to just be invisible to everyone.

One thing that I like to point out that might hurt this theory a little is that Fubuki does speculate that Blast is stronger than everyone including King, which means she's not entirely convinced that King is the strongest like everyone else (except Saitama and maybe Bang) believes to be.

Lucks a pretty cool power if you know for sure you have it, but if you don’t and have a decent intelligence and or had it activate later in life then it’s a fucking nightmare. We’re not talking about finding twenty bucks. We’re talking about being in the right place for the stolen armored money truck to barrel right by you and accidentally drop a bag of cash as bullets and explosions go off around you... constantly... every day. That kind of stress is deadly.
It depends on the "intelligence" of his "luck". In Ringworld by Larry Niven, Teela's luck ability, which is eerily similar to King's, is "smart" enough to have her suffer a minor injury to teach her caution. If King's ability works in a similar fashion then it won't be possible for him to suffer past a certain amount, and certainly not for no reason. If he suffers it will have a benefit, like his scar making him look badass and also awakening his full power. If he suffers stress then it will only make him stronger...somehow.

King's name is oddly appropriate without them realizing. King's don't actually fight they inspire, they don't need to beat their opponent but conquer. Even if it's a dream, laughable, or just unrealistic a King simply says says something and everyone makes it so. It's not only allies but enemies that fall under his command because they believe in the power of the King despite that's the only thing that give him power. Logically he couldn't do anything, objectively you can say he's weak, but psychologically he's the lead.

I just binged the manga from end of Season 2 til current & I've been wondering if King actually does have powers, I was thinking of it as "things just work out for him" but calling it luck is better terminology.
I think Mumem rider must have watered down version of King's Meta-luck .
That dude survived dangerous threats till now in which he will die by 100% yet he survived somehow. Granted,he was admitted in hospital most of the times but hey ,in OPM universe where death looms over you everywhere and everytime. It is a great ability.

I like to think he's just insanely lucky, but it'll very cool to see him with such powers confirmed in later chapters.

I wouldn't call him a coward. Yes he is afraid, he's powerless against the threats that come after him. The guy's a C class hero, at best he's probably physically about on par with Mumen Rider.
But there are times he faces that fear and does some seriously dangerous shit for the sake of others despite his weakness, that's not cowardess it's courage.
