Slime True, but pushing his Limiter through the methods that Dr. Genus and Gyoro Gyoro pushed forward didn't really start happening until the events of his introduction.
But he has been getting these zenkai boosts back to back basically none stop. He only got KO'd twice ( both being a 1 hit by saitama)

Neverlandia Saitama removed his Limiter by fighting and dying to monsters for the last 3 years. It's the part of his training that he left out, albeit unintentionally. In other words, he did what Garou is doing now, and pushed his limit and overcame death. The only real difference is that Garou's process is happening much faster due to the circumstances. He simply lacks the understanding that his training didn't make him stronger(I mean it did, but not to the extent that he believes), trying to become his version of an ideal hero by, well, being a hero is what made him stronger.
This is making fun of similar protagonists in media, who are strong but never question the origin of their power. (Goku, Ichigo, etc.) ONE does include real life themes in his work, but he also does a fantastic job of deconstructing stereotypes and tropes, this being no exception.

I can try to make an analogy as to why removing a limiter is quite literally infinitely superior to breaking a limiter.
Think of playing Pokemon, the max level is 100, breaking the cap means you can go on and on until infinity. Removing the limiter as a whole would simply mean he already is at level infinity. Saitama is like a level infinity Magikarp (just an average dude), even a level one trillion Arceus (God) would not be able to touch something that's infinitely above him.

That was my theory and understanding as well.
However one slight problem with that.....in japanese there seems to be no significant difference between breaking and removing his limiter, according to the Opm wiki they use destroy, breaking, obliterating the limit interchangably, so we can't say for certain there is a difference between breaking and removing the limiter. (If anyone can speak/read japanese here, feel free to confirm or refute me, thanks in advance).
However personally I believe Garou did indeed break his limiter, the story does indeed push this narrative/direction. I'm not certain or rather doubtful as to whether Saitama's impossible, unfair strentgh comes soley from breaking/removing his limiter, I think there's more yet left to be unveiled in the story. One possible factor could be that Saitama underwent a positive monsterfication or transformation based on his desire/obsession to become the ideal hero that could defeat anyone in one punch.
I also like Zhoniin's other theory/idea that Saitama somehow taped into the pool of strength of God or another strong entity.
I think “breaking” the limiter just means to go above your potential only to be inhibited by another limiter higher up. Saitama seems to have completely removed his limiter so there is essentially no ceiling to his power. Not entirely sure but that makes the most sense to me.

Breaking and removing the limiter are the same thing. The word used in the Japanese raw manga for both was the same. This whole theory is useless.

@@daniel1RM The limiter ideas are still just a theory for the most part. My only factual claim is that "breaking" and "removing" your limiter is the same thing, and that people differentiating the two are misled.
But, from what Dr. Genus said in the manga, when you break your limiter, you become a creature reborn with a new limiter. This means that Garou probably turned into a being with a new limiter either right after the Darkshine fight or after he became Awakened Garou.
However, Saitama is still much, MUCH, MUCH more powerful than Garou's best form in the series. This is either due to Saitama breaking his limiter multiple times and transforming into a god-like being after his latest transformation (meaning that he was different beings with different power levels in-between) OR due to him breaking his limiter ONCE and then continuing to train for another year and a half. The second theory is what seems to be implied as his hair suddenly falls out.

It seems to be the similarities between Garou and Saitama are basically the extent of their wishes. I think both Garou and Saitama are basically mysterious beings with powerful wishes. A lot of the mysterious beings we see are dudes with stupid wishes/desires like Crablante/The Engine-Car Guy. They both desired Crabs/Custom Cars so they became a crab and a custom car.
Saitama's wish has always been "defeating his enemies with one blow" and his grant of power is directly related to his wish.
Similarly, Garou's core desire is to become a monster, literally, and not just any monster, the monster that beats the good guys. So he through this process time and time again, when presented with a "good guy" becomes more of a monster each time he defeats them.
Some combination of a specific desire and an insane amount of motivation to make it happen, the firm belief that it will, seems to result in their grant of power.
Looking at Glasses for example, when he believed he was limited and weak, he experience no growth, when he gained the desire coupled with the motivation to make it happen, a grant of power starts to show him moving to a stronger place. No idea what his true "desire" is, but its clear that Saitama and Garou are both becoming their desire, exactly like other Mysterious Beings.
This would also explain watchdog man. His wish was always to be a good boy and protect his city against all attackers. It sounds like he got exactly his wish. His power might even only be contained to just his own city for all we know.

Garou when he first showed up after all his training from Bang and Dojo hunting was able to beat A class heroes but was weaker than S class heroes because he had to continue training
6 months later he was at S class level above Tank Top and around Metal Bat. Then from there, over the course of a few days, he jumped from that level all the way to Boros level
Garou did regular training for years and limit breaking/near death training for a few days
Saitama did consistent limit breaker training for 3 years
When you realize this show is basically just reverse DBZ.

I think something that is often skipped is that sitamas cap was so low that it only took a moderate exercise routine for him to break his limiter

If removing the limiter means there is no longer a level cap. Breaking the limiter maybe mean just another level cap has been placed at a higher degree. Like if the limit for most beings is 100, breaking the limiter once will make it 110. Where as Saitama has removed his limiter so he no longer has a full potential. I may not be that his power is limitless, just his potential.

Garou, like monsters, changed. Maybe you can't remove the limiter but only break it, unless you get to the position of breaking that limiter FROM A POSITION OF NO ADVANTAGE. So glasses, not being anything special, just a pure normal human being, might be able to but the heroes had no chance to remove the limiter, since they were pre-advantaged.
But it could be that you have two choices when you break the limit: either change to a form that has a higher limit, or remove that limit.

The biggest question I have is that Saitama didn’t do as much as Garou did to break his limiter, so how is Saitama the most powerful being ? It could be just a comedic thing but it’s still confusing.
Saitama is a joke nothing else and that's all I see him as, Garou almost died multiple times while trying to achieve power and just like saitama Garou trains too with his water stream rock smashing fist
here is how I think the limiter work. so different people have different potential, Saitama's is low, Garou's high. after reaching your own peak potential, just keep pushing yourself over and over will break your limiter. but they only need to push though their potential ceiling. the ceiling is lower for Saitama but the effort and will power needed is still the same relatively
It's because Saitama was a weakling. He was jcompletely talentless, worthless, a far below average human being. Like Genos said, his training was just an average level, it wasn't even that hard. But to Saitama it was so far above his normal limits, it broke his body to nwar death every single day for 3 years. And because he didn't stop, he didn't give up, his limiter didn't just break to another layer like Garou's, who was already a powerhouse, but it was suddenly removed completely.
The thing is whole Garou transformation takes 2 days to get to his Awakened Form

I think that the author would never make a character stronger than saitama or even close. Garoua limiter May be extremely high but it is most certainly still there and will not be broken

i think saitama gets little stronger everyday cause he still does his training so Garou will never catch up to his strength cause Saitama's 3 years ahead of him with his limiter broken, and Garou is just beginning to break his so yeah it's a huge difference in power, but if Garou and saitama broke thier limiter at the same time, things would've been way different Garou would be a lot stronger then saitama cause he's a prodigy and has so much more potential then saitama

I have a theory on the limiter, if he actually broke it. I think the limiter breaks after a person reaches a certain point of personal physical torture. *Spoiler* Using Garou as a perspective, Garou broke his limiter after reaching his limit in a battle. He fought so hard his body couldn’t do it and his limiter was destroyed. For someone this powerful it would be reasonable to assume he needs a lot of physical strain, thus everyone needs this amount of physical strain. This is not true because Saitama broke it with his stated exercises. Not everyone breaks their limiter though so there is 1 more piece. I think 1. You need to have the ability to break your limiter, be it genetic or other, and 2. You need to reach YOUR limit. The strain put on Garou before the limiter broke could be compared to the strain put on Saitama with his daily training. That is my OPM limiter theory.
I would like to suggest that the method of increasing strength changes how fast you break your limiter

Ty now I have better understanding of this limit breaker in one punch man and I did made small theories and it came out similar to yours .
I have two major problems with the views and the conclusions portrayed/presented/explained in the video.
1) Garou didn't train just for a few weeks, he's been at Bang's dojo for several years, as implied by Bang and the anime showing him entering the dojo at a very young age.
Also Garou might have inherent one-in-a-million talent and aptitude for Martial arts, but training one's body and esp habits and thus instincts to get to a level like Garou, still requires enourmous dedication and ofc time.
No amount of genetic gifts and special traits etc will help you circumvent and bypass the discipline and empiric experience/knowledge gained through effort required to shape both your mind and body to borderline Ultra instinct level of reaction-time, perception, adaptility and strategic prowess which Garou displays and acquired.
2) Saitama's training routine never was or will be special, no matter how many times people insist it is. Even Genos said this, when we first heard Saitama's training routine, it's barely normal training regimen by their world's standart. (Hell even people in real life managed it and it's certainely not all what it's cracked up to be). Just answer me this simple question. Would Saitama have been able to survive in the state/level he was at during the beginning and middle phase of his training days (so early enough before he had a chance to become/transition into the bald Superman we know), if he suddenly had to go through Garou's present ordeals? I think the answer is an obv no.
As Garou put it, Saitama's strength and impossible powerlevel is just unfair. Doing his routine and defeating Tiger-level monsters at best from what we've seen, is just not good enough reason/justification to explain how Saitama got so powerful.
I would rather believe that there's still more to Saitama's strength, like perhabs his bald hair just being a sign for his transformation into a god like being, coming from his overwhelming desire/drive/obsession to become a ideal hero (in his eyes) that could defeat any monster in one punch.
Ofc it's also just maybe that Saitama is stupid and his idea of personnal hell really is just basic training and not using the Ac and just eating modest snacks, meaning he really does just break his limiter everyday, who knows, Saitama is still a parody of superheroes and other clichés etc.

There have been this theory called the plateau theory is that where it supports a limiter where,no matter how hard you can train there would be no possibility of getting past the level your at stating that pasting that limiter no matter how hard you try or any kind of technique would be impossible.
Two points
1) "The limiter" is not why Saitama is so powerful, it is why everyone ISN'T as powerful as him.
2) Everyone else changes form. That form has a new limiter. Saitama didn't change form. The difference might not be the strength of will to continue as much as it is the strength of will NOT TO CHANGE when you achieve your goal. Garou did change. He broke his limiter but did not have the desire to remain Garou and DID NOT MIND being a monster. So to achieve greater strength his body had two choices, the easier one was change to a form with a bigger limit, the harder one is to keep the same but break that limit anyway.
Think of those people who won a fortune and did not change.
Thats a great theory, wouldn't be surprised if that is the case as we are told by Physcho that each time you die and come back you get stronger. SO perhaps each time your body is pushed you can choose to remain weak and push through the pain like Saitama or change to a stronger form to adapt to the current situation.

@@emnuobgnahc7546 No its more like, with Garou he is in Kaioken and each time his body breaks he comes back and goes from x2 to x3 to x4 and so on. However Saitama is more like he pushed his body further and worked hard for ss1 gaining a x50. However though Garou gets stronger his body is weaker more and more as he goes further into his kaioken while Saitima feels no pain and can just stay in SS1 like Goku and govan were able to do after a year training together to fight Cell.

In the Manga DR. Genus states he Removed it, and since its the proper translation and everything its a cannon statement
i think what they meant by broke means just like if you "broke" the record on weightlifting that means you can still break it at higher weight, while removing" means no limits anymore basically infinite power

But he didn’t break through it, he removed it completely. In my personal opinion, I think saitama was so clueless that he never once during his training, thought there was a limit, and therefore, removed it without noticing.

I think garou did get stronger after losing to orochi. I just think he didn't realize it. He was so sure darkshines tackle would kill him instantly and yet he survived.
if saitama wasn't there for the fight with s-class and monsters, garou would've eventually gotten closer and closer to saitamas level, and if he were to have met saitama later on in the story he would've been able to provide saitama with a legitimately entertaining fight to cure his boredom

I think that the Watchdog Man fight was part of Garou's luck, because learning his moves helped him escape Bang temporarily, causing Bomb to join the fight. I'm not sure, but I believe that this leads to Garou learning the Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist and as a result, learning the Crossfang Dragon Slayer Fist and defeating Darkshine, as well as aiding in defeating many enemies(Royal Ripper, Fodder Monsters) quicker and maybe cooler.

Even if Garou removed his limiter like Saitama he would never be a match. The way I see it Saitama is constantly getting stronger. So just for the simple fact that Saitama removed his limiter before Garou, he will always be stronger.
Saitama isn't growing stronger anymore he achieved unlimited strength there ain't no more growing from there
i would expect that past lvl 100 the curve gets exponential because they have higher power levels for next level (pun intended) training unless there is no resistance left for growth, so the real question is, can these limit breakers stagnate?

when you break the limiter it means that you go back to how strong you get when you start training so you get really power boosted and it can be like breathing gets you plus 100 levels so if garro and saitama fought against each other it would go on forever

Breaking the limiter is different that removing it because a broken limiter still is parts of a limiter, so it still exists
Saitama removed his limiter making his level infinity and Garou broke his limiter meaning he can go to infinity but he has to keep powering up and training.

How saitama power works is once the limiter is broken, his power will keep on increasing infinately, since he broke it a year and a half into his training, right now we see the amount his power has increased sinced then and it will continue to increase with no limit, with garou... yes he will break it but the limitless power he can get doesnt reach saitama's level since it did not have as much time to increase. This is what I think.
If i'm not mistaken, Child Emperor also removes his robot's Limiter to punch Phoenix Man deep into the underground waterfall. Note that, at that time, the Robot's hand is almost melted, but he managed to punch Phoenix Man 50 meters into the ground, and it even created floods in those monsters' base.
