Most definitely and the media and internet these white supremacists control will continue to twist the narrative forcing younger people to think and act negatively towards dark skin people. This woman was very strong very smart and very proud.

I had the pleasure of meeting her when she was invited to speak in an elementary school in Queens, New York. My friend’s mother begged her to come speak, and unfortunately there were only 4 or 5 people in the audience. My friends mother was so embarrassed that she cried when she introduced her.
Mrs. Shabazz walked up on that stage and spoke to us like it was 500 folks. And after that speech she came down and sat with us like it was an intimate lunch. My respect for Mrs. Shabazz quadrupled because of that experience.

I am literally here today because of the righteous example and inspirational story of Brother El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz. In recent years I've also been turning to interviews of Dr. Betty as well as Brother Malcolms siblings. You realize the excellence that shined bright in all of them and I'm humbled because they are still showing us how it's done. That comment about "no room for hate" was so mechanical, and Dr. Shabazz set him straight with stern kindness now allowing her narrative and perspective to be dismissed yet giving that interviewer the gift of understanding. Love to the entire righteous family of Malcolm X.
