When I do this I sprinkle beautiful pebbles over the top, then float them in the the mag trowel. Wait a few hours then mist and lightly broom. Let it set a bit then repeat. You can buy different colored stones at stone yards
Not going to do the exposed ag but totally using this process for the front walk for our house. Can't find pavers the right dimensions for what we want. Great video - right to the point yet thorough
Aye my name is Jesse too lol 😆 😂 great work bro you helped me a lot I have a job of laying concrete square steps leading to a chill spot in the back yard at one of my clients houses so you saved me bro thanks
Thanks, appreciate it! I actually am going to be making some decorative stones here later this month with colored glass and mirrored glass to make it sparkle, but the techniques will be the same
I’d like to do a brick and concrete slab driveway. If I flip the slab after it dries, there’s be no aggregates to smooth out, right? Because all the fine sediment has settled to bottom, correct?
Sure did yup. All concrete has some form of aggregate because it's multiple ingredients mixed together, otherwise it's just cement. This was basic yellow bagged Quikrete concrete from Home Depot. Good luck on yours!
Most concrete has stones, I think you mean cement? Concrete is cement, stones and sand all mixed together. Either way, sand won't really work for this method nearly as well. You can sprinkle some small rocks on top and tap them down and in with the wood float to bring the cream layer up. It's called 'Seeding' the concrete
If I mixed in glow in the dark stone like let’s call them pebbles would it glow at night I think it would help to light up the sidewalk at night what do you think
You could sprinkle them on top. Add them after pouring the concrete to the mould and then tap them down lightly with the wood float until they are basically buried under the top layer of cream and smooth it out lightly. Too much pressure can roll them over. Then finish out like I showed and wash and brush till they are exposed! Sounds like a neat idea actually
Awesome video, exactly what I'm looking for & thanks for NOT having loud annoying music. 👍👍👍
Anytime, glad I could help! It's crazy how many people comment about not having music lol
You made this look very manageable. Thanks!
That's because it is! Glad you liked it!
Love your explanations. You keep it simple. 👍
Thanks, glad you liked it!

Super helpful thanks for sharing.
Glad it was helpful!
Great video, as always. Would you consider doing it again, but with small riverstone? Could give it some nice color.
Thanks, appreciate it! I actually am going to be making some decorative stones here later this month with colored glass and mirrored glass to make it sparkle, but the techniques will be the same
Thanks man looks good

Well explained
Thanks!

If you flip it, it'll have a very rough bottom because some of the sand sticks to it and some doesn't so when you brush it away it's rough underneath
Did the concrete come with the stones already in it? If so, what brand concrete is that? Thank you!!

If i only have concrete (no stones) can i mix the concrete with some sand for it to work?

How many bags of cement did you use to cover that area thanks
It was about a bag and a half if I remember correctly
should combine that with a stamp
Forget the brush. Spray with sugar water and cover with plastic and let set for a couple hours and spray off
You can do that too
awesome
Thanks
Did you use 1 bag per paving stone
I used 1, 80 pound bag, yes. I'll link a great concrete calculator in the description so you know exactly how much you'll need for your project!
Great
Thanks
Great video I'm getting ready to make a short sidewalk.. I will post on my channel my result. Yes I subscribed.
