Zac & Jame's voices blend perfectly and it is so cool to see Zac's obvious admiration for JT, and the "I can't believe I am singing with James Taylor" expression on his face! Superb quality, too. I love this. Watch the way the Zac doesn't take his eyes off JT while James is singing Zac's song. Can you imagine that feeling? It's like...Wow, I'm standingnhere on stage with Mr. James Friggin Taylor and he's playing acoustic guitar on my song and singing the words I wrote.... At the end, Zac looks like a kid at Christimas who just got that shiny new bike that he had always dreamed about. Goosebumps and a standing "O". Very very cool. Thanks for posting this.
Yes...as much as Zac Brown has acknowledged JT's influence on him, this had to be a very big moment for him. Wonderful performance!
Colder Weather is my favorite ZBB song, but it was primarily written by another band member not Zac.

One of those rare magical music moments, when James Taylor goes into Sweet Baby James. Pure joy reigned throughout the auditorium. The whole song is magical, but that moment, if possible, took it so much higher.

Zac is a special talent, but Colder Weather is by far their best song. He has lots of good stuff IMO, but nothing else truly amazing.

@@brennanp9536 I like those songs, but Colder weather is one of the best songs I have ever heard of any musical genre. Best country song of the 2000s IMO. Better than anything Garth ever did and right up there with anything by George Strait.

Ive watched this many times and I just love it! I also love the look on Keith Urban's face and when Nicole Kidman says Bravo. These two gentlemen are such a class act and James Taylor is immortal. Wonderful touching song.

My husband and I have been lucky enough to be able to take our 3 sons to see JT in concert. He has the ability to make a whole venue feel as though we were in his livingroom chatting. I sang them to sleep with "Sweet Baby James" for years. Over the last year or so I have found myself becoming a big Zac Brown Band fan. I look forward to seeing them when they come to the Philadelphia area. Thanks for the wonderful post.

Beautifully stated Paulette. I grew up in the era of "Sweet Baby James" and always liked this song. just a few years ago, and over 40 years after he recorded that song I had the chance to go see him in concert. What a great night that was. When he started to play "Sweet Baby James" I got chills and before he was through the first verse my eyes welled up with tears. Here I was, sitting not 30 feet from him listening to him sing and I was that teenager again, just for a little while.
James Taylor is beautiful and has such a smile when he sings those stories. PS. I dig Zac.

Zac Brown is a VERY humble man!! I worked in a bar in Oklahoma City when he was big on the Red Dirt scene and he was genuine!! You can tell this was a very special thing for him!!! He couldn't hep but belt it out there at the end!!! SO cool and can't think of anyone more deserving!!!

This was absolutely fantastic. I saw something similar when Garth Brooks played Central Park back in 93. Doom McClean came out and played American Pie. Garth smiled the whole time Don was singing. Very cool.

I just feel privileged and lucky to have experienced the amazing career of James Taylor. Legends like this will not always be around forever, although their music will echo for eternity.
