Challenging Wild Camping Night in Kenya / Windstorm & Baboons Thieves

- After a challenging hike, we hit the road without really knowing where we were going... After some "Googling", we found a campsite inside the Samburu National Reserve.
That wild camping campsite was right by the river and was as good as it gets in terms of campground. The only issues were the baboons and the windstorm overnight.
Before ending this camping trip let's go on a game drive, eat some pizza at Barney's Bar and Restaurant in Nanyuki and then time to go home!

What a way to end our camping trip!!
I think was good adventure Tracy because you whent to c the Adventure and it was expecting anything to happen when you go to c wildlife there behaviour sometimes they get excited and they pee just to get attention from you and Dave best thing they didn't attack you specifically baboons are bad easy to attack humans are bad thank you for nice video in turkana trip go camping to stay more alert one week trip this will be good trip go on sund road don't take tarmac Road you will c more on sund road 🐘🦏❤🇰🇪

Loving the camping series .... A couple of tips from a fellow camping enthusiast:
1. Jackery 1000 power station (UK version due to sockets) for your power needs. It can be charged within the car / by solar / and it can power and charge your electrical items all the time.
2. Geyser Hot shower system - Efficient camping water system on the go.
3. Jetboil Basecamp & Flash Java cooking system - So compact and sufficient.
4. Dometic Fridge / Freezer CFX3 - Either 35 /45 /55L options. .. Depending on your needs.

This video was awesome. Lake Naivasha has some cool camp grounds as well. I remember going there as a kid. I think they still have them. Try Fisherman's camp or Camp Carnelley's.

You were lucky the monkey didn't pee on your food.. the last time we were there they peed on our food and stole the eggs...
Next time please don't be so close to the river just in case it rains easy to be washed off I have seen that river full to the brim carrying tonnes of trees... I was there when sentrim samburu was washed ..
Please visit kasigau hill one of my best places and camping can be done at kasigau base camp...

For camping with full of conveniences,try around Lake Naivasha.
Fisherman's Camp along Moi South Road on the lake shores is the perfect focal camping spot with lots of interesting places to visit nearby

My kind of content, I enjoy camping.. Try Lake Oloiden campsite in Naivasha, Hell's Gate, Mt Longonot, Lake Bogoria, Lake Baringo, Lake Magadi, Jangwani in sagana, Lake Ellis Mt Kenya, Elementaita etc
We had a great time camping around and will for sure go to some other locations soon. 👍🏼😎

I laughed at the bathroom tour, we had pretty similar experiences when we camped in Kenya! (Ours was guided camping- your guys are brave dealing with Baboons!) Love to see the wild camps and the reality of camping near animals!!

Awesome trip! I was at Barney’s in Feb. I didn’t have time to eat there as I had to catch a flight, but it is a beautiful place.

Jambo Dave and Tracy nice video you really take a big chance to camping there near the river I think the wind help you the wild animals not to come near the tent that places have alot of elephant's and lions and leopards it's are very nice view there this is one of my favourite park you missed near you was are nice spring pool called buffalo 🐃 spring you cold have take shower in this springs and find more animals next time you go don't forget to go there other camp site are in nande mountain to go lake baringo and bugoria hot spring in bugoria very nice places I don't no the name but it's nice place to camp there and I think you should ask toure companies they will no more thank you Dave and Tracy nice video go vist Eastern slop of Mount kenya lake Ellis nice place to vist Dave and Tracy you can camp there very nice hiking 🚶♀️ there and you c meke falls to its so butefull 🇰🇪❤🦏🐘

I'm sure camping in that wind wasn't much fun but it made for a really good story, thanks.

C'mon Samburu National Park. For a campsite the least you could do is have working, clean and well maintained showers and toilets. Surely that can't cost too much.
