This is a great discussion. My mother, who is now 60+ developed schizofrenia at the age of 35. Since then she has been on disablility. With this illness she is able to do basic functioning for herself BUT only when she is doing well. I now know that she got sick because of lack of self-care: no boundries, never said "no" to anything anyone expected of her, did everything she thought society and her husband/family expected of her, not taking the time to feel and process her own feelings and not setting boundries that would lead to her being treated with respect by others.

i sometimes find i neglect or put on hold tasks until the last possible minute or i take as you describe a chuck on housework at a time. Like the laundry and ive done that and ive sat down and done some writing and then go back and complete what i need to do in the kitchen. I dont have kids and i hear they take up alot of your time but i do believe in being healthy or you cant take care of whats in front of you. If you cant be bothered you just dont do, like housework, but with a baby you have to take care and it is your responsibility - but if you dont at least look after yourself you dont get to cope very well and i know most Moms are stressed out, run out and tired but i dont want to be like that. I think things will turn out fine if you can just get yourself organised...
