    growing up my mom would that we'd all sit at the table and as soon as i go to put a piece of meat to my lips or some broccoli she would say how was you day how was school... and now i understand the importance of why she would do that to have that open communication with us.

    Even now, especially when having a main meal, i have to go sit at the table.
    I can eat a sandwich, some toast or a bowl of pasta or Bran flakes on my lap on the sofa but when it comes to a main meal I have to sit at a table and it comes across to my friends that I'd sit and eat at the table and not the couch - so when they are all sat down eating, I'll be up at the table.
