Thank you. Yes, I have an external smart charger. Detects the voltage and charges accordingly. I can leave them connected in series. I use a battery tender connector that I bolted to the terminals for easy connectivity.
Yup. I just posted another install video on my 87 with the factory bar. You can see what mods I needed to make to get it to work. It was alot of unexpected work, but not too bad.

How do you charge the batteries? Are you considering an AC to DC ?
