    Nice looking SUV. I still see these from time to time, flying down the road. I love the sound of the Hemi... not the gas pump 😅.

      Had an 06 Commander HEMI - can confirm filling it up sucked lol. But OMG the speed of that thing it felt like a sports car taking off.

    Wow!!! Just under $40k for this bad boy. Today the msrp would be around $60k with stealerships asking $20k markup on top of it.

      Picked one up this same color(inferno red) a few months ago w 113k on the clock. (Stock) It's not bad, ride is firm but you get used to it and I don't commute far to work so it works out at the pump. It's a fun rig

    2006 is a 'retro review' now? omg... I remember this as if it were yesterday. Scary to think it was 17 years ago. I was 20 then and 37 now.. I drove one of these. Lots of fun and you learn to love and hate it. :) I have a '23 ram 1500 with the 5.7 now and it sounds sooooo nice

    Part of me wonders how other SRT Jeeps would’ve sold at that time if Daimler had let Chrysler have more creative freedom.

    I had a 2008 , man that thing was a beast , it scared the crap out of my wife when she first dove it 😂. It had tv’s and the better looking black interior, the dual exhaust was beautiful.

    Had an 06 GC HEMI - loved and hated that truck at the same time lol. Great speed and also a great appetite for fuel. The early 00s every Chrysler interior was filled with hard plastics and cost cutting everywhere which they resolved with the next gen Cherokee.

    I had a 2006 inferno red just like this one many years ago. Drove it hard and enjoyed every minute of it. I miss that Jeep.

    Not srt but it’s had a kind of odd one from 2006. Me and my dad were looking for a car around 4K and a blacked out one with an umbrella corp resident evil sticker on the side caught my attention. It was a basic Laredo no 4x4 but had leather seats and a few minor problems but it never broke down. Had to sell it but found another blacked out 06 basic Laredo with leather seats. Thought it was the same one but had no sticker and saw it was different. I’ve seen a. Few like that. Maybe it was a fleet company version or something

    The 2011-2021 Jeep SRTs are better looking, but this first Jeep SRT is still a legend. Some people I know (one of whom happens to be the president of a boat manufacturer used to have a 2009 SRT Jeep.

    Easily the best looking of all Grand Cherokees, and I loved the hinged tailgate glass. As far as gas mileage, I only had the 4.7 and even it never got over 19 mpg, even cruising on the highway at legal speeds.

    I've had a couple of Jeeps and I've never wanted to go fast in any of them. But I did want more range when I'm off-roading. That's why I got the Ecodiesel.

    As the owner of a 75th anniversary 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It'd be cool if i could have the exterior of this, with my 2016 interior. I like the look of these way more than the 2014-2021 body style. The interior of this however is trash.

      Assuming stock vs stock. The 392 Wrangler is governed at 100mph. This is governed to 155mph.

      There actually was a hitch that routed around the exhaust. Goofy looking but I guess it worked.

    this has more than 120hp compared to the 1992 gmc typhoon but is slower in the 0 to 60 and quarter mile.

    I would still consider buying this Jeep. However, the SRT badge should have been Dodge only. The Trackhawk badge would have worked here perfectly.

    This SRT engine is made mainly for better towing than performance because I think Jeep needs more towing power in the Grand Cherokee! Though you have to be careful on what you can tow because the engine is not made for towing a trailer especially with a 20,000 bulldozer on it!

      It's only rated for about five thousand pounds in any body style, still better than Explorer or Trailblazer

    Keep this suv running all year round. Get butter gas mileage than gasoline power commercial vehicle get a 4 of 6 miles per gallon on gasoline
