I had the same issue for my 2013 Juke with timing chain noise. The local Nissan dealer said I needed to spend 9000 NZD (about 4800 Usd) for a new part to fix.....
$4800? You could get another juke engine and transmission for that price. The juke right now is a very good car for tuning. It is old so you can find many used parts to build a little fun monster car to drive around.
Hej did you get to solve the issue with the noise, l have a Nissan juke 2015 and it’s making the same noise when l start it and when l drive it. What could you think would be the problem?
can u anyone answer this after doing exactly what i u did if i rotate engine one full turn or 2 turn will these mark Matich? cause i did this and than roate engine and was trying to see if mark on the cam saft match with mark on chain after full one or 2 chain roation and the mark did not match on chain and grove on cam saft
Don’t worry about it , you did the right process , after you rotate the engine second time it won’t be the same , make sure timing chain is not stretched and tight enough.
ah bro thank u so much i opened and did it again same thing and it did not align again so i thought i was doing something wrong thanks for promt reply bro how do i know it all is ok what is the procedure is there any test? cause chain color mark and camsaft dont align and u said dont worry so what how do i know it ok?@@fayzullo4317
Just do the timing chain right and rotate the engine twice make sure it won’t stop while you rotating you can feel also compression inside all s cylinders
ok thanks so as long as it move and i can hear compression all is ok i was worried what if timing is wrong and vale will hit the piston bro thanks for ur helpppppppp@@fayzullo4317
@fayzullo4317 ok Sir, I was trying to find it on their website and couldn't. I'm about to take mine apart today. any tips or tricks? Did you have to replace the timing cover as well? I saw yours had a cut in it?
That's crazy you can do that with the engine in, most cars you have to do a hell of a ton to get to that part of it lol
How did you hold the cam phaser from jumping?
I have a 2013 nissan rogue sounds similar gotta get the chain looked at
Yes you need to check chain
@@fayzullo4317 I was told by the Mecanic it could be the cam phaser or anything rattle like the ac compressor

You should work on your car yourself , you may spend only couple hundred dollars for only parts. It is not so difficult to work on it

I have to take my car for that too. My juke is bad. They found metal in the oil and is leaking a lot of oil.
Sorry to hear this

Yes the noise was from timing chain. Timing guide was broken and chain was stretched out.
@@fayzullo4317 what was the mileage then?
I have a 2013 nisaan rouge and it sounds similar gotta get my chain diagnosed
Здравствуйте, возможно вы знаете оригинальные номера клапанов

If you take off all timing guides and tensioner, it will come off itself.
or so no gear need to be removed thanks bro@@fayzullo4317
@@fayzullo4317 bro i cant get timing cover out i try to pry it it dont come i check for all bold cant see any how much force u need to pry it?
@@yaad2226 you don’t need much force to remove the cover , it should be easy. There should be some hidden bolts, carefully check bolts one more time.
bro thanks i got cover out yesterday yes there was hidden bolts @@fayzullo4317

Do you have the part number for the kit or a link from where you got it?
I am sorry I don’t have a part number. I got it from autozone.

@@johnbobb1835 yes the timing kit assembly cover has a lot of screws all over the place. It is really a pain....
Engine sounds horrible after your repair
If you want original sound , you would need a new engine.
So only option is to change the timing chain? Sounds pretty much expensive
Not really expensive
How much cost for replace timing chain?
@@fayzullo4317 Correct if you have honed the skills in the correct way. If car is taken to mechanics, they charge $$$$$$ for six hours labour rates.
@@alintomaogrezeanu881 only thing you spend money for timing kit it is probably around $140. It doesn’t require any special tool or nothing.
