In this video we install a magnaflow exhaust kit, pre bent. This kit now runs over $1000 these days. It has increased in price almost double. This kit would be nearly impossible to install without a lift, so is it really geared towards a do it yourself?? Leave a comment below on your thoughts!!
"Magna Blow" Good one from Red Rocket 🙂 Well at least between the 2 of you it got done and will never be a problem down the road for the next guy. I have seen more than one system welded in that had to be cut out to do anything later. The Exhaust right on the starter is the one that Kills me.
Good morning Ed! It mocked up great loosely. But when we went to tighten it down that's when things got complicated. Well, I'm going outside to work on the 60 firewall today!
@@lonestarlows Yes clearances change when you tighten things up. Nice work on the brackets to avoid welding on the frame. In Drag Racing engines before we honed the bore we had to make a 2" thick plate, cut the bore size out and drill all the head bolt holes. That would distort the bore just like the cylinder head would and you would get a better ring seal. Took a bit of time to make those up and long before you could make a phone call and get them in a day or two Great that you will get some time to work on your 60
@@lonestarlows Just a group of guys just like you have that are all doing the same thing at the same time and willing to help out anyone at any time. I was very lucky to be involved 🙂
@@lonestarlows nice. Im thinking of going with this kit. I saw a kit from Schafer’s that I like too but it’s $700 and not even stainless. Ive heard this magnaflow kit has issues too tho. Im running factory manifolds too so idk if that matters or not
Regarding the smell my exhaust still running out the back factory but was wondering would it delete the smell if I added Cadillac converter’s just for the hell of it I know our cars don’t require them at all and I do have a new mufflers on the 64 but was wondering if Cadillac converter’s in front of that would eliminate the smell even more or would that make the car run like crap?
