This was the very first game I ever got for the 360 and I loved it at the time. I'd certainly like this to be remade with a better story. The overall concept has the potential to be really good, it was just executed poorly. But that's not likely to ever happen.

Maxwell is voiced by Sean Schemmel, the guy who does Goku from the Dragon Ball franchise. It's funny how a guy so renowned in the voice acting world, could have such a bad performance. Probably more to do with the directors than the actors. I played this game way back in 2007 when it first came out. This review describes exactly how I feel about it. I want a sequel while retaining its core design but also improve on it. I can see what they wanted to make for this game. On paper it probably sounded too good but in execution it wasn't a flop but not that great either. No, it actually achieved several ideas even if they weren't well executed and probably could have gotten more attention if they decided to make a sequel with improvements. The main character could use more energy but i do like that she's mysterious even if that makes her less interesting . Never heard or played this game but it has a certain charm to it that i find quite interesting. Sure it look and plays not very well but so were the games i played back in the good old days. Back when game companies were innovating and were mostly being ambitious as you said. The only problem with reviving a title like this today is that it would introduce a problem our games currently are plagued with. If you guessed microtransactions then you're correct. If bringing it back at the cost of it being completely ruined with what these mega corporations are pulling with today's microtransactions then i would rather stays in the past intact with all its flaws and cool concept intact. Or have a different studio with a much smaller budget have a look at that what the vision for this game was at the time and give it a proper revival. Excellent review! It's on sale on Steam for 6 bucks.
19:35 I think Alicia rejecting the helicopter trip is understandable. She died in a plane crash. In stage 3, the plane where she travelled and the other plane crashed In Stage 5 the helicopter fleet was destroyed too. I would not blame her for not liking to fly,..
Wow this video really took me back. I have never played this game but I remember back when the channel G4 existed and watching this game when it was featured on the show CHEAT at the time. I never did get the game cause I didnt have an xbox 360 and until now I completely forgot about it! I can tell you really put a lot of time and passion into this video and just wanted to share my story with the game. I might give it go now, I really love the style and feel of the gameplay from what Ive seen. Anyway nice video! Lol

Good video! The only problem in my opinion is comparing the physics in this game to Half-Life 2. The thing about HL2 is that the game pretty much revolves around the physics, that's what the Source engine is very well known for. In Bullet Witch the only strategic thing is moving to this direction and pushing it at a horde of enemy unlike HL2 where the complexity is much more insane. This is the the few things you can do using it's physics and also gravity gun: 1. Use props and object effective to kill groups of enemies or individuals. 2. Manipulate props to be used as cover against bullets or grenades. 3. Grab a grenade using the gravity gun and throwing it at hostile. 4. Fire a rocket at an object and send objects flying and it will have a chance of crushing an enemy. 5. Navigate maps using props to elevate yourself or even exploit the game at times. There's loads of strategic advantages to the game when you gain the gravity gun! There are so many interesting and fun things to do with it compared to just simply force pushing a car or trashcan at people. I'm not bashing on the Bullet Witch game but HL2 has in my opinion the best physics out there and I've personally had such a blast with it, I'm still playing it today. Nothing is more fun than throwing a explosive barrel at a strategic spot and seeing your enemies fly at random directions.
Weird, a lot of people actually really despise the Drago fight because of the fact that you have to defend the plane and can only damage Drago in one particular way.

I just got back into it again and yeah I always hated the voice acting in this. I always thought the voice in her head is what makes her a witch, it's the one giving her the powers. She did come back from the dead, so she is somewhat demonic. But like always they come back and fight the evil they kinda share the demons with.

My voice is horrendous and nasally but I make it work with clear enunciation. Maybe you could try the same? There's a softness to your voice that I quite like.

SnicketySlice Okay. I played the game. I reached chapter 4 after the flying demon boss, when we're running through the train rail and a big monster is chasing us from behind. A snipper killed me. anyway. I'm enjoy the game but I can tell why it wasn't a success. The controls don't feel smooth, when you do a lighting, and the like spell, it can be interrupted by enemies attacks when you're aiming, the rose spear spell sucks, the gunrods anyother than the machine gun suck, the graphics aren't that great for an Xbox 360 (looks like an original xbox game) the voiceovers are terrible, no multiplayer mode, only online options are buying costumes for Alicia and downloading extra missions, and it's short (only 6 chapter, although one chapter takes you 30 to 45 minutes, unless you get your ass kicked like I do). It's like a Devil May Cry 2. regardless I'm enjoying it. Just like I enjoyed Devil May Cry 2 despite the public's opinion. Objectically speaking Bullet Witch is a bad game but to me it's a good game 'cause I enjoy it.

Cover-based mechanics work in GoW because being out of cover means you’re dead in seconds.
I think the idea is that he prefers games where you don't need to be in cover constantly.
