Fine quality and very useful as designed knives. I've 3 WC Knives. Much respect for WC himself, his product and his dedicated neighborly committment to/with his customers. Thank you WC.
My impression from this video is that several customers have sliced themselves with a WC knife. Not to make light of an injury, but hey, we buy them because they cut and slice better than most, if not all, other knives. And guess what people......they are designed specifically to efficiently slice MEAT!! Great video William.
Very helpful thanks William. I have a Slim in the mail to New Zealand. Can’t wait! I recall slicing my thumb on my 16th birthday present (1988) when I used it to cut an orange. Still own that knife. Thank you 🇺🇸 🇳🇿
12 degrees angle only work on WC Knives. I tried using 12 degree angle on my Spyderco, and it chips like crazy. So i reprofile back to 17 to 20 degrees. I'm not into 'ceremonial polished' knife. But I like a knife that is not 'clean up' after heat treatment. I have an old MW Jr with an unpolished blade. And it's still look sick!
I just got an email that my survival knife is on the way. Thank you William I had a sheaf made by Randy Smith and it’s been waiting for about nine months.
@@wcknives He made it and sent it to me nine months ago and it was sitting in my gun locker waiting for the knife. Good work by two great guys thank you.
Been watching for a year or two. You seem like a stand-up good dude. *Almost* placed an order a few times but I'm a little concerned I won't be good at sharpening your unique edges. I'll eventually get over that and place an order. Have a great weekend.
@@boilermatt sharpening is actually easier than standard edges. If it is a scandi compound the scandi provides the guid for the whole cutting edge. If you can sharpen a scandi you can sharpen a WC. I have several videos explaining and demonstrating.
That’s what I thought! But after getting my first WC knife I find it easier than most other knives! The scandi portion of the blade act as an angle guide and most of the steels he uses sharpen up easily! Get one you WONT regret it👍
In an old video you recommended victorinox mini sharpening rod and a small diamond stone to sharpen your blades. Since I haven't seen any victorinox mini's hardly, what is the current WC recommendation?
@@jquantum23 hasn’t changed. The mini when you can find them, DMT blue, work sharp products but don’t use the guides, ceramic rods, the WC RST if you have one. I use all kinds of sharpening brands and materials. Steel or ceramic to hone diamond to sharpen.
I was told the Scab method was the best way to remove your knife from the sheath🩸🩸🤣 Yep my edges always get better after a few sharpenings. Comes with a bandaid, but thats not enough Will your knife should come with a needle and stitches or atleast a few butterfly bandiads !! Good info as always Mr Collins

Great explanation of the care and handling of the knife edges. Thanks.
William keep doing what you're doing your knifes are the greatest 👍
An awesome and helpful video, indeed. Thanks, William
I love Sticky Sharp! Great description of your blades!
You have a system that works. Excited for my First Run Jr. Fieldlore!
Good to know that my 6 to 12 nightly passes on my diamond sharpener is proper care.
