I'm the guy that created all the front end stuff. I was considered the Lead UI Designer - I designed functionality, visuals and programmed the screens, animations and controls. I had great fun working on this game, in the Redwood studio. 100 hour weeks were common. The people were great. Beer on Fridays - unlimited pizza - and just a great place to work at. I loved being at EA, except for the gruesome hours. If I had the option to do it all over again, I would in a heart beat. Tiger 2005 is an awesome game - and the Tiger Team was amazing!
Nice. It was probably my favorite golf game ever made. I still have it boxed up in my closet. 🤣 Wasn't an Outkast song somewhere in the menu options? I'm positive it was, unless I'm thinking of another Tour. Swear it was 05' though.
I have the '04 and '05 games. I'm still amazed at the graphics! The quality tailed off after that year. I still play the thing a lot. You guys are magicians!
@@kentclark6420 I loved how fluid it was. I can almost guarantee that even to this day, there isn't a golf game as smooth. Plus, it had easily the best power shot in any game of its kind.
2:30 I remember this! EA used to do this with games, they'd give you a little bonus if they read your memory card and found EA games on there. That was back before they forgot what morals were and started releasing games in 700 different parts each priced and 20 dollars a piece.
From what I remember most people weren't to bad. But there wasn't no chat feature that I can remember since it was dial-up or broadband internet. Lol. But some people would be asses by hitting dumb shots just to drag it out or so you would quit.
This game broke many controllers with my cousins. We'd be on the 18th tee and he's one shot down and ass soon as the ball left the tee he was smashing it cause he knew he hooked it lol
today when we did not like our takeback swing and tried to slowly lower the club to attempt a new swing, as we slowly lowered the the club it hit the ball anyway. any advice anyone?

I tried getting a post-'05 game, and I returned it because I don't play well left-handed.
The reactions to bad shots killed me in this game..... remember playing this game with my dad
“Trying to think of something positive about that shot and nothing immediately springs into mind”
“Ok, I think I see what you’re trying to do there…………………… NOT”
How's the old mans' prostate? Send my regards.
I got pissed and threw the controller, and it hit my computer modem the other day. The modem is ok, but I damaged the controller!
"The stench, of greatness, not"
lol
Crazy how it’s been almost 20 years dang we getting old I was only 7 yrs old when I played this sheesh
Man i loved this game. Good times.
Man EA really did used to make some great games
The dancing at the beginning ❤️
I like the way you moooove❤ This game had so much energy for a golf game. Haha
That kid with the burgundy shirt and blond hair must have been watching me play.
I didn’t even like golf until this game lol
Back when you played games in peace with no disrespectful online players
Sorry to break it to you, but normal people still do that
I'm pretty sure there are quite a lot of Slum Village fans at there that still haven't heard the song they did for this game.
When you had no other games to play. It was still 🔥 though 😂
Literally playing this right now
How was a game made 20 years ago so much better than the garbage put out today?
I recently installed the DamonSX2 on my S22 Ultra just to play this version of PGA Tour. The best one in my opinion. Plays flawlessly.
I still play it just about 2-3 times/week. I love the graphics. Customizing courses is fun, too. I hope Tiger does well at the Masters!
let me go fire this up,still better than those shitty 2k games
No offense, but I think that maybe you could use some more practice on this game.
The facial expressions are meme worthy lol
Comparing this to 2k golf we got now 😂😂 damn I need to buy a ps2 again
Golf
Yep
wonder how the online community was like for this game 😂

I couldn't complete the fucking tutorial in this game when I was young, but it took me a whole good while before I got the putting right
This game was visible as an ad in Burnout 3 😂

Don't lower it slowly, just let go and don't swing it
