I was moved part way through 05 onto the first FIFA street. As you can see I am not the swiftest to reply... but I'll do my best. I no longer work in the industry due to chronic pain/migraines and brain injury... but I'll do my best to reply.
Hands down, my favorite baseball game of all time. Some of my kids were pretty young when this game came out and they loved climbing onto the bed watching me play. The way you could manage a team was great and making custom players was just incredible. Some of the best memories ever.
Best baseball game ever. the sound track. The legendary rosters. Amazing gameplay. Great graphics the ball parks all looked unique and the uniforms and players looked great. Put a lot of hours into this game we need a remaster.

He didn’t decline to be in the game. He left the MLBPA so the game publisher would have to had paid him royalties to be in the game. THEY declined to pay him royalties.
I remember playing this back on my gamecube. Best part is how I could use legends like Babe Ruth, Gehrig, Cobb, and Cy Young in Dynasty mode. I remember cheating in Owner mode where I'd get guys like Grady Sizemore, Bautista, Mauer, and Greinke and give them a 7-year contract. Then I'd change their stats to turn them into a beast.
It’s honestly kind of sad how overlooked MLB 2005 (by 989 sports) was because of this game, and being produced by EA sports. Don’t get me wrong this game looks pretty dang good, but idk I grew up on MLB 2005 and it was a great baseball game. The announcers are better imo too.
MLB 2005 had Vin Scully, so yeah it had great announcing. I think MLB 2005 also looked better and played more realistically, extremely underrated game.
It was better when there was more than one developer making baseball games, the competition forced them to constantly improve their games. Now all we have is the The Show, same old 6 classic stadiums since 2006. They don't have any incentive to improve their game because they have no competition. If you look at how much MVP evolved in just 3 installments, it's remarkable!
