We redid our 1961 kitchen cabinets, and I stained them in the same mahogany color, but with bronze hardware.
I liked it, but I was really wanting white a short time later, so we did it with our paint sprayer. The bronze hardware looked amazing with it too.
We kept our darker counters, as I still liked them.

It looks beautiful Serena - the room is so much lighter and brighter! We chose white cabinets when we updated our kitchen and it feels so fresh and clean. We still have a few finishing touches to go, but zero spare time to get them done right now. I think white is timeless - other trends come and go, but white cabinets have always been a classic.
I love the white cabinets! One suggestion I would make is that what if you put a stand up freezer next to your fridge instead of another cabinet? Those are so useful and I love mine.

As always you've done an awesome job on your kitchen project!!! Taking that old border off was the first best thing. The white paint just brightened everything up so much. I love a bright room. Love the bar stools as well. Great job.....and hating you still.....in a good way. Ahahaha

Your kitchen looks wonderful!!! I'm working on the cabinets as well. Top will be a light cream and the bottom ones will be dark grey.
I have the same island in my kitchen but in black and with the pot rack, Your kitchen is beautiful, not boring at all. We redid our kitchen, got all of our cabinets and counter from ikea. I went with the black drawers ( No cabinets just open shelves) white counter top and light natural wood look (floors and windows frames)
I love the look of open shelves! I feel like to rock that style, you really focus on minimalism and only keeping what's absolutely necessary (and not jumbling it all up like those of us that have cabinets!). LOL

Your cabinets are a great quality and kitchen definitely looks lighter and brighter! When I remodeled my kitchen I added soft-close hinges, which really helped with the teenagers slamming the doors. 😅

It turned out great. I think it needs a really nice light, it will be the cherry on top! You don’t even need to tile it to be fair… it looks great as it is. Definitely change the light and it will be 👌🏻

Serena, you did a great job as usual. I am getting ready to do the opposite. I am changing my white cabinets to either French Roast or Hot Cocoa . Sherwin Williams paint. I am hiring a contractor to paint my cabinets though. Too much work for me. I'm actually sick of the white cabinets already. We have only been in our home for 2 yrs this November. I say do whatever makes you happy because you have to live there and look at your home everyday. I do whatever I like because it's my home and no one else opinion matters to me

Holy moly, wow.......I mean, it's a big job to do, yes. So I can see them charging that much. BUT....you can totally do this yourself! Takes a bit of time, but you can do it!
Kitchen cabinets are not very interesting to begin with - but look how much lighter and brighter the white cabinets make the kitchen? No one likes a dark and dreary space, and now yours looks fantastic! Now if only appliances were available in bright and cheery colors? Thank you!!! But you know what, they actually DO make colorful appliances! I know that Big Chill is one brand. And there's another really popular one--can't think of the brand off the top of my head. But they're super expensive. Like premium prices! I wonder if it's possible to just....PAINT the refrigerator turquoise...? Hmmm........!!! LOL
I always get the paint and primer together. Haven't had any issues what so ever
You make that caulking look easy! My caulking skills are mostly a ‘miss’ instead of a ‘hit’. 😄
A marble effect painted counter top could look good with those cabinets!
That's a great idea! I would definitely love to simply replace the countertops with quartz. But it's not in the budget!!!
I’ve painted my walls white dove by Benjamin Moore. I want to paint my cabinets white and the island sage do you recommend going with a brighter white like chantilly lace, or keeping it white dove and going with a satin finish?
