Hi Andy. Love what you did with this piece! I’m a retired dentist and used to have a similar one. I gave it to one of my dental assistants when I retired. The reason that top is so bad is that it is missing its marble top. Most all those cabinets had one. Something to watch out for, although I love how you fixed it. Keep up the excellent work! ❤
Thank you- that was a question that would have plagued me forever wondering what went on top. My other question is about that tool/instrument Andy asked about- but something tells me that I don’t want to know
That's such a cool piece of furniture! I know it's a dentist cabinet, but when I saw the sliding trays all I could think was "that would be perfect for my painting supplies and paper." Something to be on the lookout for!
That was my thoughts exactly ! I even started planning out in my head things like where you paper would go, the inks, the brushes, and those pencil holders are to die for !
I love the little stop-motion moments in your videos. I'm sure they're a pain in the neck to make, but they give your videos just a little bit of character that makes a big difference.
I think every restorer does it. It’s crucial to have material that comes closest when replacing old wood. All kinds of things get saved. I think it’s great.
I watch most TH-cam videos on my second screen as I'm working or whatever. But with yours, I always bring it to my main monitor - full screen and watch all the way through uninterrupted. You're that good!!
Everytime I think where is Andy or what's he up to...surprise here you are!! I love how you see beyond the ugly and bring out the beauty. Thanks for sharing
Really, really lovely. Not only do I appreciate the restoration work you do, but the extremely professional way you shoot, edit and produce. You're inspiring an Aussie!
Editing skills are perfect. Comparing to scafing not sandling from top to bottom. By the way everyone makes one or 2 mistakes where is yours. Editing 😂
This work is absolutely stunning, I would kill for such high quality furniture to store all my craft and jewelry tools and materials. You did a stunning job bringing that piece back to life as it's meant to look
I have been watching your channel for about six months, I am blown away by your creativity! Not just your restorations, but the way you present them, the editing of your videos. You are amazing.
Your editing is superb! Yours is the only channel that I don’t feel I have to skip through any part of the video. You slow down to show how much work is involved, but not so long as to loose the viewers interest. I really enjoy watching👍🏻
Excellent transformation. Those small flat drawers with the pencil sized trays in them. This cabinet would be ideal for an artist to keep their paints, art pencils, brushes etc.
I could see that being used as an artist's cabinet, room for brushes, paints, paper, canvas, etc. Beautiful oak, glad it got a chance to shine again. (And like the bi-colour hairstyle as well, so cute. :) )
What I love about how you do these amazing projects is the fact that original look is so overwhelming for majority of people but not only that you see the potential but you actually do an amazing work one of the best I’ve ever seen
lovely to see a proper restoration to something so unique, it's also got my favourite type of drawer guides, when you get them waxed, they feel so luxurious unlike modern metal runners or the ones underneath that break
That would make a good cabinet for an artist, especially one working with paper - the slim shelves are good for paintings/drawings, and the skinny drawers for paints and brushes. Other stuff can go in the larger bottom drawers. Also a jewelry maker could use it.
It turned out so beautiful, love the stain. Those little insert trays would be great for drawing supplies, like pencils, maybe Amazingly done restoration,as always!
As usual. Another beautiful restoration. Are you one of the professionals in the Crafsy app.? If not. You should be. Along with any other app. Like Craftsy that is out there. So much talent. Hope you are doing well. Take care. 😊
15:54 it’s been 84 years… 😂 Andy, you are probably my fave YT’er. You are so talented and creative. I love the way you produce a calming yet enjoyable video every time. ❤
😮🎉 Красивый очень, очень получился! Художник имея такой шкаф был бы счастлив.. Вы профессионал своего дела! Столько труда и души вкладываете в свою работу.
Yay another one!!! So beautiful as always. You are so inspiring 🎉 i am glad you are getting more comfortable being present with each video. You actually conversated with the camera!!! You should do a Q&A
Wow! Such a cool cabinet, amazing work stripping away all the paint to reveal such a beautiful quarter sawn oak. Incredible video skills as always. Looking forward to your next piece!
love the sound effect you use during time-lapses like at 1:36 and 15:30. it reminds me of the sound effect in the lego videogames for putting together something.
That piece is so beautiful !! Thank you for restoring it back to the original glory of the natural wood 😊😊 Provincial is one of my favorite stain colors and it gave this piece the warmth is deserves. Fabulous job as always. Cheers from the Finger Lakes of New York. 🍷 🍷
This upper part could very well be part of the office of an architect, restorer or visual artist, it even has compartments for pencils, paints and brushes, tools for restoring art objects, rulers and compasses.
I'm always partial to the restorations over the transformations (although both are great and many times a transformation is required when a piece is too damaged), preserving the history of unique pieces like this and bringing them back to their former glory as much as possible is something Andy does so well. Always a treat to watch the process.
Your fun video editing, cool angles, and well-placed fast forwarding make everything that much more enjoyable. Kudos to whoever puts these videos together! And of course kudos to your outstanding restoration.
Love these videos! You are so skilled it's insane! Also, I love to see you taking the center stage in the videos by adding voiceovers and adding footage of you talking about your process! It's just a really nice addition to see the mastermind behind all of these lovely pieces of furniture!
My favorite TH-cam channels are inevitably those that can show me something from a different perspective, without the typical internet bullshit. I have never been interested in furniture in my life until I saw your stuff, keep it up man!
Outstanding restoration of a beautiful piece of commercial furniture! I bet the dentist who previously owned it would be astonished at how gorgeous it turned out.
Hi Andy, great work as always, I can't believe it is the same piece even after seeing the before and after pictures. Also, after watching you scrape down that roll top door, I have to say you are the most patient person I know. Cheers from Ozzy
Another beauty. Thank you for your outstanding work. I think your personality shines through in every piece -- something calm and radiant. I could be wrong but I don't think so. A source of pleasure and inspiration in troubled times.
I just wanted to say that I love when you “pop” actions with sound effects. Such as pulling out the drawer pulls on this piece. Generally, I like to see all of the action, but you do the editing so well it is very entertaining without losing possible educational effects. Thank you! ❤
You have shown great patience, dedication and skill in this transformation. It was a real pleasure to watch the whole process. Congratulations! It looks beautiful! 🤩

I wait impatiently for your new videos. This was awesome. Another great job. Can’t wait for the next one.
@@doriglenn1358 it’s not anything that went in the mouth. I’m thinking it was for closing amalgam capsules.
I see that your hair got a modern makeover too. 😄
One of the most talented restorers on TH-cam.
100% agree 😊
I believe the most talented!
I agree and have you watched Thomas Johnson Antique Furniture Restorer?
Wow. What a gorgeous piece.
The most talented. And also the most unique and skillful filming and editing as well.

LOL…me too!
@@RevdUp.Art.Fotografer And me! 😊
My first thought was that it would look terrific in a jewelry shop!
That was my thoughts exactly ! I even started planning out in my head things like where you paper would go, the inks, the brushes, and those pencil holders are to die for !
I had the same notion. 😊 (I posted that earlier but it seems to have disappeared. My tablet updated so perhaps that's why.🤔)
That turned out so gorgeous. As a crafter, I would buy this for art supplies. It's beautiful.
This would hold all of my sewing supplies quite nicely as well 😊
I just said same.
I was thinking that the second I saw the thumbnail.
He is by far the best makeover professional ever.
Indeed he is , and more than a furniture makeover artist 👍
By far
He is right up there with Ahti from the YT channel: AT Restoration!
Both gifted.
No he’s not
Yes he is!

@laraynekayfes5329 Yes. It's a totally different genre. Andy is so creative. This one was more straightforward than most of his projects.
@@RevdUp.Art.Fotografer But few are as organized as Andy. He can find what he needs pretty fast.
The brass drawer pulls look fantastic with the wood grain. Keeping them was the right idea.
Its a cleat, commonly used for blinds or cords to keep a set tension.
Makes perfect sense now that you said it. I've never seen one that sturdy though.
@@bluecurlygirl I think this one was used on a boat for ropes
