    It isn't a fair test as the exposure or ISO on the Osram video is much higher (you can see the sky, but you can't on the Philips), and that's the reason it appears much brighter.

    • @m3rovingian
      @m3rovingian  3 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      The settings were set to auto as always. In this video I didn't adjust the ISO in any way. But after numerous tests with the light meter the final results showed Osram NB 200 with 10 Fc / 70 Lux better than Philips RV GT200. It is a miniscule difference and in real life you will not be able to tell one from another. I would get the cheapest ones evrytime.

    Although Osram looks good, it is not durable despite the high money you pay, I tried it twice before, they broke after 1 year, it is not durable and expensive, Philips will be a more logical choice. In addition, the exposure settings are different in the two comparisons, this is evident from the street lamps and naturally affects the decision.

      The settings were on auto. it's simply how the camera recorded them. Despite Osram being a bit better than Philips, I still recommend RacingVision GT200 over NB 200 due to the price and build quality.

      @@kristoffer3000 You have no idea what you're talking about. Here I already started to use the same manual settings for all the bulbs tested, especially the +200% halogens. But since you didn't had anything to say constructive, you thought to speak out whatever crossed your mind. But if you think you'll be able to record with a camera exactly how a bulb lights up the road, good luck with that. Also, I guess for you my light meter tests are irrelevant and misleading as well...And all my experience over the years of using these bulbs.

    I'm surprised to read these don't last long. I have Whitevision Ultra H7 fitted on my Kadjar 2019, and it's been 2 years now that they're working. I guess they lived that long because my high beams are separate bulbs, and because these H7 bulbs are held in place by 3 screws instead of a regular clip: the screws hold the bulb more tight so vibrations are reduced. I'm looking at these videos because i'm assuming my bulbs are gonna die soon, 2 years is a lot and i'm surprised they still work.

    Great video! I saw the Auto Express review of the brightest lights, in H4 I think, tested on a 3 series headlight, and they put Twenty20 Daylight 150s at the top on the basis of highest FOM. GT200 topped the spot brightness test, 2nd best FOM and beam length of 106m, but not so high overall brightness. They only tested the Osram NB +150 not +200% bulbs but said they were the brightest of all, and 94m beam length. If the Osram 200s are a different bulb to the 150 it might have won. Either way, the +150% was the brightest which might explain the difference in the video. I am trying go get a feel for the difference between the beam length on your video but it's hard to see. I do feel that although the Osram looks brighter (not sure if the tarmac was the same in both or not) but because of all the glare it's hard to see anything and they started me to drive me nuts after a minute or two of watching your video lol. I have the RV 150 in my car H7 high beam and as you said that they are the same bulb as the GT200 then it's obviously not upgrading to the GT200 (Osram did something similar with their H8 bulbs which I upgraded but they were identical). I tend to find with the RV that although they are bright into the distance I find I want more illumination in the medium range as in rainy conditions I still feel like I can't quite feel wtf is going on lol....Not sure if you have an opinion on the Twenty20 but I think they are based on the GE bulb, and in another test I saw it perform poorly. There is the argument that there is no point me changing bulbs unless I am going to do something different such as the Philips WV 3700k like you suggested which sound like a good compromise.

      I remeasured RV GT200 a few days ago at exactly 3 meters. The first time I measured them a bit further at 3,25 meters because I had a concrete tile added to the front left tire and from that one on I measured 3 meter. At the 2nd test they gave me 290 Fc and 3230 Lux compared to 300 Fc and 3300 Lux of Osram NB 200. personally I would take RV GT200 over NB 200 because of the difference of 50% price here.
      I don't know those 2020 bulbs. I can't find them in my country, but if I will maybe I'll see what I can do and test them. Right now I am caught up with the rain road test and light meter measurements of the XV Pro150 at 3 meters away, after I recorded CBI Next gen and RV GT200 on rain also.
      I would have a set of WhiteVisions aside considering they will no longer be available for sale soon, since they stopped producing them. in my country now they increased their price with 50% from 20 to 30 Euros...

Na OSRAM, não voltei a usar aquele pedaço de madeira e a distância real foi de 3 metros, menor que no caso do Philips RV GT200. Do you have any feedback on these bulbs? I'm guessing NBL will be better built based on price and the percentage advertised, but the Super being 65W over the 55W could be brighter. In realitate amandoua au exact acelasi aspect.

      It is true. That was because of the first light meter measurement I had the OSRAM 200 at exactly 3 meters away while on the Philips RV GT200 I also used a stone pavement under the front wheel of the car, which increased the distance to about 3.2 meters. That's why on the first measurement OSRAM 200 seemed to be better on the light meter. So what I did was to purchase another set of brand new RV GT200 and remeasured them in the exact conditions and distance as with OSRAM 200 and those were the results. The GT200 are with 20 Lux better. You'll have to understand I had to adapt to the light meter usage. We don't get anything perfect from the first try.

    2. diferenta mi se parea destul de mica intre ele, iar durata de viata teoretic nu ar trebui sa fie atat de scurta.
