    The Old Boy, Ian is correct.
    1,600,000 baht purchase price / 3500 baht per month rent => 457 months / 12 => 38 years.
    You would be a mug to buy unless there was hyper inflation on the rent in the coming years.
    I doubt if Ian will be "around for another 30 years" if he uses that shower!

      The formula is 180. 180 month/rent => Purchase price. In good locations maybe 240 month/rent. And this is europe metrics where the house is not falling abort and value 0 or even negative after 25 years.

    Most electric shower units, if not all, are designed to house the electric cables inside the unit even if the back of the unit is flat! They have specific entry points. Get him to refit it properly and this time READ the installation instructions first!!

      Electric shower units Bill in Asia are very low watt, not like 8-10kw like Europe, they use 1.5 or 2 5mm cable

    Beautiful place! I remember when you were showing it before he moved in. I'm sad to say I'll be in Bangkok, paying more than that for a tiny little condo. It's okay though, 6 months and I can hopefully transfer to somewhere cheaper. Maybe I'll take a weekend and come down and help you use some of that charcoal! HAHA

    Take the shower box cover off there are places for the wires to go into they should connect to a electrical connector block

    • @gregh7457
      @gregh7457 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yea, just reroute the wires to inside the heater and drill a hole out the back of the heater so they go directly inside the electrical box in the wall

    In a recent vlog you mentioned that Ian (SP) needed to go to Austria so he got the full retirement reinstated. What is the update of his plans??

    Honestly with those sort of cheap rentals you would have to be silly to buy .

      That’s why Jonny is renting in most cases it doesn’t pay to buy in Thailand. Another reason it’s almost impossible to sell.

    I wonder how noisy it is there with all construction going on. They get them grinders going all day it can get annoying. Cheers 🍻

      I think they are building them so quick Troy they probably finish a stage every 3 months so the noise wouldn’t be round long 😊👍
