Nick Connors haha, I’m right there with you brother. I enjoy a few different brands but Jackson has always been #1.. and in all fairness, it does look like a King V :p
I have to agree that South of Heaven is my favorite Slayer song so far. It took me a lot of time to like Slayer, but this was the song that got me so interested in the style at which their music is played.
@@summerrr1 Kind of… This was the first Slayer record I appreciated when I was in high school. I’m in college now, and like far more of their discography. It was a case of I listened to mostly Metallica and Megadeth in high school, and not many other bands. I listen to a much wider range of genres now, mainly within death metal as it is where I’m placing a lot of my focus atm playing guitar. I’m currently learning: Involuntary Doppelgänger.
hey do you every plan on doing a guitar cover on trapped under ice, its a solid Metallica song and does not have a lot of guitar covers on TH-cam. anyway man great cover as usual!!
Holy F'n Sh_t....you are SLAY'n it my dude. This is my number 1 stop for metal. Keep up the great work and the sound is second to none. After a 20 year break, I just got a Jackson JS32t King V with Bias FX 2 and am having a ton of nostalgic fun learning it all over again. I thought I saw some of your pedal configs in the tone cloud.
Incredible. Would you consider doing a video on harmony in metal? I know Slayer use some unusual intervals in their harmonies. You seem to know your stuff, I think people would love to see how classic thrash bands put these compositions together. Great channel.
Thanks mate, Slayer used unusual everything in their riffs. I always have to slow them down and check what I’m hearing because they shouldn’t sound good from a theory point of view. It’s like there’s a scale based riff but then the whole thing might move up chromatically one fret. Most of the harmonies either moved up 3 frets roughly or dropped down a string and played the exact same thing. Always remember Dime explaining how to write harmonies perfectly in his riffer madness columns. I really miss these guys
@@LambChopper678 Very true, a lot of it seems to throw the theory book out of the window. Hanneman seemed to know by instinct what was spooky but catchy. Yah that's what I though, harmonizing in 4ths or minor 3rds but not keeping within the scale?
Nice video, you play exelent!! You play Very meticulously each note, and the tone are sick too, maybe you can have a video how do u aproch to the tone of your covers!! Well done!!
Holy Hell YEAH!! OF course it's flawless and dig those little squeals ur adding man! Chopper, I can't do much Lamb of God or MegaDeth like you yet but I did this one a couple months ago if you'll have a look and comment me there man... I'll shout you out bigtime! Thanks for always inspiring the world!!
Did you notice the crucifix shadow on the wall turns upside down when the drums kick in?

Eactly the same with me. I think the the riff at 1:45 is what got me.
@@tylerbattles7918 2:48 for me.
When you say a lot of time, do you mean like one or two days?
