@Conan O'Brien Agreed. This song in particular shows a mastery of his music that few ever achieve, even bands that had more "popularity " in their days. I've raved about this song for its technical achievements many times in the past. It is a blistering indictment of the "ruling class" .

It's a miracle that Dave can play, let alone sing after living through throat cancer, nerve damage in his arms/hands, etc. He's a freaking trooper. At 61 he's doing a damn site better than most would be. Rock on.

This just shattered my heart in a million pieces. Dave looks so deteriorated, yet you can tell he’s still giving it everything he’s got. Man, may he live forever.
A man has to know his limitations. Dave just can't sing anymore. Either get someone on the mic who can sing or retire. He's tarnishing his legacy. No reason for it. He's been an amazing performer for YEARS.

@@rubicon-oh9km his legacy is cemented, anyone thats remotely interested will figure out why he sounded like this with a brisk google search. he's recovered a lot since this performance, not his prime course but its not megadeth without dave's vocals and he's still giving it the bigun. we complain that he's never been a good singer but no tune of theirs would sound right without him, just too iconic of a voice even if subjectively awful. god forbid his voice goes entirely, brother can still shred hard. long live this man's stage presence
@@calxshaw06 I love Megadeth and I love Dave but I know when it’s time for a performer to hang it up. He’s not doing himself or the audience any favors. He just plain cannot sing anymore. Just like David Lee Roth can’t. If a guitarist can’t play the guitar anymore, do you go see that guitarist? Same thing with a singer. If he or she can’t sing anymore what exactly are we watching and why?

I get what you're saying about him he uses real emotion in his vocals when he's singing it makes him unique. When you here him singing he's delivering real emotion mostly anger which is so fitting for thrash metal.

You have to give the Dave credit, He obviously cannot sing like he did years ago but he is actually singing live and not using pre recorded vocals like a lot of singers that are younger than him do. long live Megadeth!!!

He was still basically ok singing in 2021. He's had some sort major injury. He's in that weird place Joe Elliot and Axl are in where they just make weird falsetto old man noises. Makes me fear what's gonna happen to my own voice honestly.

Obviously Dave can still shred, and this lineup is just ON IT. The vocals are what they are, as our heroes age. But yeah, this song still feels now like it did when I heard it for the first time all those years ago. Just absolutely brilliant stuff. Makes me feel 20 again. :)
man its so upsetting, look at dave's solo on this show, then look at daves solo in his prime, im the biggest megadeth fan but he's just stopped caring about his abilities , or maybe its all the health problems hes survived

I'm just so beyond grateful that they, and Dave in particular, are still actively performing. Like holy shit, we're all treasuring this right? I grew up in the 00s so I wasn't around for a huge chunk of their career, and I'm just glad I still have that chance now.

I got my first Megadeth CD in 1990. I grew up in the 80s and 90s. Loved all kinds of music. Rock, jazz, classical , metal...etc. Dave Mustaine is so talented it blows me away.
Hate to say it but its not much of a performance, years of illness battling has left him in a pretty bad spot, is barely over 60 and he looking like he is in his mid 70s

I just love the new key they are playing in for this song, it totally transforms it to another darker level. And dave's vocals complete the darkness of the tone :)
Loses the tight, thrash feeling by tuning down. Makes it sound muddy and sloppy in my opinion.

He's a little raspy but still hits most of the main the notes and does not skip words. Sure, we've all heard the the studio recording of this tune hundreds of times so it's a comparison? I say all things considered he's sounding good. If it's live it sounds a lot better than us sitting here with our headphones or speaker phones.

After surviving throat cancer dave still thrashes on guitar and can ROCK harder then any other front man on the earth i dont think anyone else could still sing period after going through that... dave can not only sing but can sing GOOD, Dave is in my top5 favourite guitarists of all time and top3 front men
How many people would go through what Dave has gone through and still be playing. He loves playing his music and I love listing to it. Been a fan since the first album in 1985. I was 22 back then.
I'm very grateful to know that Dave is still at it and giving it his all, I just watched the music video of this song and here I am blown away even more with this beyond amazing performance. Thank you so much Dave and the rest of the band! 💖

Even with rough vocals.. Dave hasn't lost anything on the guitar, the same energy comes through. Great line up with Kiko, Dirk and James. Hopefully these guys stay.
Part two of this song his voice seems to hold up a little better. He’s doing great considering all odds, amazing he can sing at all still. His voice is still there partly in the back

Dave's voice is sounding rough on this one. But hey, he's in his 60s now and had throat cancer so it's amazing he's still out here and killing it. And whatever his voice was in his prime it was still signiture to Megadeth not to mention the talent to play and sing at the same time, particularly playing a lot of the leads at the same time. Great band all around.
Got 0 problems with his voice.. he's just gettin old. Dude been through cancer and almost lost his hand's mobility. It's cool to see how after all that shit he been through he still keep moving and struggling nd doing what he loves to do..
(Also before make hard critics against his voice remember.. he's almost 70yo 😳)

Even in D tuning the notes seem too high for Dave. They really should play their songs on C tuning, it would just be more badass.

this is the tightest this band has sounded in years. Saw them Austin 2022, the night TSTDATD came out. This is one band I would love to see just add a singer and blow the freakin' roof off the joint. No shame in that!

Dave is a legend. Always stands back up no matter what life throws at him. Forgot what he injured in his hand/arm back in the early 2000s, but apparently he was never supposed to be able to play guitar again, or play as a good, but he relearned how to play and still shreds. Now he's survived throat cancer and is back to singing. It's rough, but still an amazing feat after cancer.
I think mustaine could hire a singer to preserve his throat, and continue play guitar, so Megadeath can last more.
He is a master player! Awesome!

I almost shed a tear when I heard Dave's voice. This guy is my hero and hearing him like that kills me. But it's not compassion. Dave is the FUCKING man. I know what he's been through and still plays and sings like a God. Megadeth is one of the best metal bands and still outstands this day. The best for them!

Dave gets my respect. After fucking surviving throat cancer he still continues to get on stage. And also, he still plays technical thrash riffs that are pretty challenging. I can't fucking imagine both singing and playing a song from RİP.
Dave got better as this tour went on. They absolutely killed it when I saw them a couple weeks ago. Also having a large crowd going more crazy than any show I've been to in over a decade didn't hurt.
