When I turn the latch the brakes still don’t have enough clearance??
It could too much cable tension. When you close the latch the pads should be closer to the rim but at least have a few millimeters of clearance. Cable tension will bring the pads closer.
that switch is for when your pads are wearing out to get them closer to the rim
no, latch is for fast wheel removal, barrel is for adjusting
How do you replace the brake pads if the old ones wear out??
On the side are the bolts for the brake pads. Loosen completely, take out brake pads, install new brake pads, center on rim, and tighten bolts.
