@@cadence6814 I'm glad you brought this up. Statistically, children are more likely to be abused by some one they know, not a complete stranger. This was a completely bad set of circumstances. The mother was planning on taking her children on a flight to see their father soon and she was shopping to get them ready for the trip with only a $100 budget. The offending man was well experienced as he had asked the cashier if the mother had bought the clothing that she had brought to the counter, to which the cashier said no. This was then when he pounced on the vulnerability. Predators look for exploits not much different to exploiting a hole in a fence.

The man asked the cashier when he saw her bring clothes to the counter for a price check, if she had bought it to which the cashier said no. This may have been when he decided his gift card scam and non-existent wife to show he is a 'responsible' person should come into play as he discussed these things with Rayne in the beginning to gain trust. "he took her to the dressing room multiple times" charge the mom with child neglect. Absolutely ridiculous and zero regard for her little girls safety. Almost as sick as the man.

This shows just how horrific our legal system is to see how many times that monster has gotten free.

Yes, this is very typical. It's everywhere and usually handled with neglect.

I'm very sorry for this unbelievable loss, but shame on the mother... I'm sorry - under no circumstances would I ever trust a complete stranger like that with my child. Even if I was down to my last dollar. The safety of our babies over everything, always.

This man should have never gotten out.

Sick monster. The fact he’s done it before and got out... Disgusting. I would never trust any of my babies with any kind of stranger.

This mom practically offered her right up to this monster! She knew what was up with this weirdo. Also, that Dad should have helped out! Both parents are guilty

Imagineclaiming the father guilty of a crime when not even present at the time and when he did not do what the mother did. Disgusting.

He paid child support. She spent it on herself. Look into the case more.

When you have a young mother with three very young children, the situation around her gets confusing and stressful and it becomes easy for a perp to take advantage of the situation. It is sad to watch because the mother was more then likely looking for clothes, while the children are running around.

Only four minutes in but… what the heck! Who lets their eight year old go off with a man just cause he’s love bombing you and the child! That is so clearly a red flag… and she did not sound panicked at all on the phone, as if she just misplaced something. 🙄

.Charish would be alive had he been behind bars still. Child predators should NEVER be let out of prison EVER. And I'm sorry but I can't say the moment is blameless....she should have NEVER let her alone with ANY man

I lived a life very similar to The last story, when I became pregnant, I gave everything up to be the best mom I could be and I have never looked back. It doesn't make sense to me how anybody could choose their shity party life over a beautiful life with a child

Our youngest grandson is 8. I can’t even think about someone so evil getting near our innocent baby boy. What happened to sweet Cherish was so preventable.

Her lawyer saying Cheyanne Harris isn't the worst of the worst this baby suffered right up until the very end that's just plain torture and cruelty, she deserved her sentence for what she did, she is the monster that everyone makes her out to be and so is he.

It's pretty frustrating to see that the mom decided to trust a stranger to take her and her kids to Walmart. You’d think common sense would kick in right then and there.
